Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Ich habe bei der Buchung das falsche Datum eingegeben und musste meine Buchung ändern. Die Mitarbeiterin. hat mir geholfen meine Buchung zu ändern. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. In diesem Hotel sind die Mitarbeiter:innen nicht nur freundlich sondern auch hilfsbereit. Diese Motivation ist leider eine Seltenheit auch bei den Luxus-Marken von Accor. I’ve had a wonderful stay at the Rescidence Hotel. Staff was very friendly and kind, the room was clean and there was enoough space for 2 persons. The bed was a bit hard for my preference but we stayed for just two nights so it was ok. The location of the Hotel was perfect, between the bars/pubs and the centre. Allthough the busy environment, we were not bothered by noise. I would definitely visit this Hotel if i’m going back to Köln.

Quietly, conveniently and serenely stayed at this hotel for the past 6 days. Good to recommend this hotel as a priority choice especially for cologne travellers who preferable to stay away from bustling areas. An enjoyable back and forth daily walk from hotel to train station whereby some good restaurants are the best solutions of our hungers. Highly recommended to stay and definitely will stay again in the future. Thank you..

The old house is decorated, the aisle is very narrow, the elevator is enough for two people, it seems that the cockroach can be on. The room is spacious, bright and clean, very good; there is a coffee machine at the front desk to pick up hot water, the front desk service is very good; Located in the old town square, not the closest to the Cologne church, but the dining is very convenient. After a long hard journey we had a pleasant enough checkin, but after having paid a lot extra for booking first class rooms, we were told that the first class lounge was closed. I asked what was the point in paying sky much more for first class rooms, and I was told the rooms have coffee machines. For the price difference I could have gone and bought coffee machines, but frankly I am not interested in a coffee machine, I paid for the rooms so we could use the lounge, so I felt ripped off. My room was boiling hot, and the air conditioning does not work. They sent someone to the room, but they could not get is below 26 degrees. They changed my room to a much smaller one, but it was a bit cooler. I came back to my room having left the aircon on all day and all evening. It was still very warm. I chose this hotel as it is described as air conditioned. It is not air conditioned at all. I could not sleep, it was too warm. I called reception and they brought me a fan. I am so disappointed to have not had what I expected, and most annoyingly the room was described as air conditioned when all it really has is a noisy fan. I should ask for partial refund for our two rooms, they were not worth the money. Then, the service at the bar was terrible. We ordered a round of drinks, it took more than half an hour to bring three beers. Not busy, just really slow.

We stayed in the hotel as a family with 7 years old child without any problem. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel so we have no idea about restaurant. Employees are kind and doing their best. Very good location. You can walk all the touristic places. We went to Cologne on December and it was cold. Whenever we felt cold, we turned to hotel for rest in 5-10 minutes. The best christmas market (Heumarkt) is near the hotel and you can use public transport in front of the hotel (if you need). Walk distance to the Dom Cathedral, Love Bridge, Chocolate Museum, Shildergrasse and all the christmas markets.

The hotel is quite central in Cologne. It also has probably given the possibility to breakfast directly in the hotel the reservation. However, already at the arrival, this was shown at the reception before and after me, there were probably noise differences between the bookings of the arrival guests and the understanding that only the German-speaking lady had at the reception. My colleague has clearly ordered breakfast with, but he had to call it loudly next morning. I myself, I'm very much in hotels on the way I've experienced extremely rarely that staff always strongly before yesterday each other disputes about courses that should be practiced. My room itself was awaiting and probably had the flair of the 1980s. Electric cable simply sticked to the wall, hoping that they would not solve again. In general, I would not book this hotel anymore. What the reason staff and guests are constantly crying negative.

Die Lage ist gut, zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten zum Dom, in einer einigermaßen ruhigen Seitenstraße. Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet aber klein. Hier sind wohl einige Häuser zusammengefügt worden, es wird deswegen wohl Unterschiede in der Größe der Zimmer geben. Schöne und große Auswahl zum Frühstück, welches auf der Website für einen unschlagbaren Preis inkludiert war. Tiefgarage gegen Gebühr vorhanden, zu breit sollte das Auto dafür nicht sein. Check In und Out hat wunderbar funktioniert.

The (non-upgraded) room is relatively spacious, well designed and quiet. I'm glad I did not accept a higher cost upgrade option. It was great for a 4-day stay. There's a separate area for clothing and storage, and a small refrigerator. There was a wall of windows, good light and effective blackout curtains. The in-room coffee service is nice - I didn't find this in my other hotels. The breakfast buffet is worth the price, especially considering the quality, and that a single cup of coffee elsewhere can easily be 5 Euros. It's not a train station hotel (one mile away from the HBF and the Dom), but this hotel is in a very nice area, and is convenient to a great many dining and entertainment options for a Cologne tourist. It's not horrible to take the train here (with one connection) if you are reasonably mobile. Public transit options are many once you figure them out. The USB charging outlets are helpful -- and I did not find these in any other of my hotels. Overall, this chain is a significant step up from the likes of Ibis and Motel One. This hotel is very much worth the reasonable premium it charges. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would happily return to this property.

I have stayed in mercure hotels in over 5 countries and many cities. They are the best. Beds were comfortable and huge rooms. Great service. Location was great with many great local restaurants nearby. Just next to the metro. Super stay! Danke Schone!
