Good work

My recent experience at Saphire Hotel Colombo left much to be desired, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my stay. First and foremost, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was subpar. The lobby and common areas appeared worn and in need of a thorough renovation. Stains on the carpets, outdated furniture, and a general lack of upkeep created an unappealing first impression. The room I was assigned did not meet even the most basic standards. The furnishings were outdated, and the entire space exuded a stale odor. The bed linens and towels seemed worn and past their prime, lacking the crispness and cleanliness one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The bathroom, in particular, was a letdown, with signs of mold and mildew in the corners and an overall lack of attention to hygiene. The amenities promised by Saphire Hotel Colombo were far from impressive. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable at best, making it challenging to carry out any work or leisure activities that require a stable internet connection. The gym facilities were outdated and poorly maintained, with malfunctioning equipment that posed a safety risk. The dining experience at the hotel did little to redeem the overall impression. The breakfast buffet lacked variety, and the quality of the food was mediocre at best. The restaurant staff appeared disinterested and provided lackluster service, further contributing to the disappointing atmosphere. Customer service was another major drawback during my stay. The staff displayed a lack of professionalism, with slow response times to inquiries and seemingly indifferent attitudes. Requests for assistance were met with a lack of urgency, leaving me with a sense of frustration and dissatisfaction. In conclusion, my experience at Saphire Hotel Colombo fell far short of expectations. The lack of attention to cleanliness, outdated facilities, subpar amenities, and indifferent customer service collectively make it an unappealing choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would strongly advise exploring alternative accommodations in Colombo to ensure a more pleasant and satisfying experience.

Badly maintained with ancient wornout flooring. Stained towel and bed linen. Poor wifi.

The hotel is over rated in the other reviews. I would not even rate as a 2 star hotel. Rooms Needed updating and stinks of damp. The bathroom is old and dingy. The hot water only comes in certain times. The lift is really old and would close faster before the second person gets in. Please do not waste money. The only positive aspect is the really helpful staff.

Dined here yesterday at their restaurant, opted for Chinese - fried rice, deviled pork, Thai pork, batter fish and hot mushrooms. The food was great , service, very attentive - the staff made us feel special. Definitely value for money. Highly recommended!

Excellent very friendly kind staff and i like the stay again I’m coming with my family to the hotel thank you again i recommend all my friends family and every one reception is very smiling faces Mario and Sharoni and the room boys their are very helpful to me

The lamprais is really good. One portion was big and i really enjoyed it. The curries were tasty and worth the money. Even I ordered for my office colleagues during the monthly meeting,also I attended for a marriage function The buffet was really great. Will visit again for sure.

The lamprais in hotel sapphire is really good. One portion was enough for two people and we really enjoyed it. The curries were really good and it was worth the money. And it was really clean. They had other meals too which seemed good. Will come again for sure.

This is Anu I was told about the ladies night promotion at hotel sapphire and visited yesterday and tasted their signature cocktails which is the real taste of cocktails I’ve ever had !! Also the food is very tasty and worth for money !! I would recommend the ladies who ever would like to go for a drink to visit hotel Saphhire topaz bar
