I don't like leaving negative reviews because I understand things happen. Especially when I must say Embassy Suites has been our go to hotel. Unfortunately, we are going to have to switch to a different brand. It is understandable that hotel cannot stay “brand new” however routine maintenance of the rooms should be a minimum. The past few times we have stay it has been the same thing, the rooms have been run down. If it is not a newer hotel, the Embassy brand does not seem to do just a basic job of maintenance. Our most recent stay, the room was subpar at best. The bathtub was peeling, the furniture had so may stains on them my wife pulled the sheet of the bed just to sit on it, the wall paper had ripples in it, not bubbles but ripples. To top it off, we got bit by only what we can say were beg bugs. If it was for the poor maintenance, I would chalk the beg bugs up to what happens in the hotel industry, they are bound to happen even at the most expensive of hotels however, this hotel was so poorly maintained, it is more likely they have take not measure to control this. We have noticed this trend with older Embassy Suites Hotels, usually located in predominately minority populated areas. Really sad. The staff was nice and friendly but they can’t make up for the poor room. If we would have checked in earlier, we would have demanded a refund and went somewhere else.
