Please avoid at all costs if you are English !!! Firstly we booked as a family of 7 on arrival we entered the hotel and the receptionist was extremely rude no hello nothing just stared at us I said we are here to check in as was a morning flight was only 9 in morning didn’t expect my room to be ready but she rudely laughed at me and said you can’t check in but bearing in mind I had paid full board so wasn’t bothered about the room but when we have been travelling all night with young children and we are refused so much as a glass of water even though we have paid for that day is a disgrace was told there’s nothing she could do come back at 2 no maps or anything given to us !!! I then asked if we could at least leave our luggage somewere she pointed to a door next to the lift !! No security at all just a door which when you open leads on to a bad alley for anyone to take your stuff I said is there no we’re abit more safe Was just replied no it’s your stuff leave it or take it !! So we had to trail all our luggage around with us with our 4 children the youngest being 2 plus my disabled dad just to find a drink !!! Not a supermarket in site all the locals are so rude not one restaurant was inviting us in we would walk to look at menu and was all In Spanish and they would just ignore us or shake their heads at us cause they don’t want us there !! We ended up walking back to hotel to see if pool bar was open which it was but they do not sell snacks and only offer bottled pepsi or there local orange! We was finally allowed to check in at 2 they charged us tax per room £15.67 Which is a disgrace , rooms are by far the smallest rooms I have ever seen I travel to Spain twice a year and have never seen rooms so small we struggled to get pram in the room as the wardrobes behind the door the bathrooms you can’t open the doors full because the toilets in the way if you was pregnant or a bigger person you would not be able to use bathroom it’s that small and the door locks get jammed which is not safe for children luckily I was on other side when this happened so I could help my poor child !! Balcony door also did not lock had to tell Reception that sent someone up to put a new lock on balcony door the rooms are very dirty the fridge was full of mould and stunk thick dust all over skirts was just overall dirty ! Food was absolutely shocking never seen food as bad I could not eat it was vile same food dinner and tea breakfast ham cheese bread all cold Foods but stale from day before there’s literally one option for children to a tomato sauce With pasta every single meal My poor kids was so fed up and was even a nice pasta sauce Was like the cheap tomato soup cup one was very powdery and horrible !! The meats avoid at all costs they have someone cooking chops but these are not cooked my children got them one night and had flesh in middle luckily I seen before they could eat them and looking room restaurant everyone was leaving them I have reported this to the c

The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and always with a smile, it is very grateful. The location for my perfect taste. Also left us a free baby culinary. Hemos pasado unos días de vacaciones en familia. La comida estaba muy bueno todo pero faltaba variedad era o un plata de pescado o un plato de carne, luego estaba el buffet de ensaladas y con eso nos arreglamos, todos los días había pasta que los niños es lo único que han comido, favor es que poco pero todo estaba muy bueno. Las habitaciones por amplitud bien, lo malo que han habido días que a las 4 de la tarde aún estaban sin hacer y pues claro si quería ir a descansar un rato antes de ir a la playa te tenías que esperar o irte sin echar la siesta. Luego teníamos todo incluido y una de las tardes un camarero italiano (lo digo por identificarlo de algún modo) fue muy desagradable y dejó a los niños y a los mayores sin merecer, ya que cerró el bar de la piscina y nos dijo que no había nada ni nadie para ayudarle a dar las meriendas, cuando anteriormente sólo había un chico sirviendo y no necesitaba ayuda. En fin que los niños no merendaron. Que conste que lo comunicamos en recepción para que mandarán a alguien pero aún así el señor cerró el chiringuito. El personal todos muy amables y atentos menos este señor que fue desagradable desde el primer día, y no lo digo yo sólo lo decía todo el mundo. Pese a todo lo hemos pasado bien y sobre todo hemos descansado un montón ya que las habitaciones son muy silenciosas. Un saludo.

No pongo pésimo porque me sabe mal por las personas que trabajan ahí. Pero la dirección de este lugar debería plante**** enfocar el negocio de otra manera. Pagué 125 € por una noche, entiendo que sea temporada alta, acepto que la habitación no sea perfecta, que haya hormigas en la terraza, que haya colillas en las jardineras, acepto que se haya escapado algún pelo en las sábanas, que haya mosquitos en el techo, que las cortinas estén rotas y manchadas.. pero no acepto que no se haya fregado el suelo, que la colcha tenga manchas de pintalabios, y que el baño no esté desinfectado, había manchas en el wc, se veía que se habia pasado rápido, no olía a limpio. Se veía que faltaba personal, de limpieza por supuesto, por la tarde no había nadie, y en la hora del desayuno, las chicas iban a tope y hacía mucha calor en el comedor. La recepcionista nos propuso limpiar ella misma la habitación, a lo que le dijimos que no y nos ofrecieron beber algo en el bar para compensar. No fue una experiencia agradable para nada.

A great hotel with a beautiful location in a small and comfortable Calafele. Very comfortable room with beautiful view. Very qualitative bed and bed linen. Breakfasts are just chic and satisfactory. There is a Swedish table and you can order omlet, eggs, pancakes and a mass of others. Staff is very friendly and responsive. There is a Russian-speaking Catalan staff. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Located in a historical building in the old town of Altafulla, Hotel Gran Claustre is a peaceful stay in this busy tourist location. Plenty of historical sights to enjoy around it. Rooms are clean, even though could do with a new hand of painting and more attention to details: like the shower which made a mess every time because it is not fully closed, so some water makes it out and floods the bathroom floor. There is parking space for cars, right in front of the hotel but they charge 6€ per day even for hotel guests, however drive a few minutes further up and there is plenty of free spots. Swimming pool is nice, boutique style, not big but well taken care of and picturesque.
