I have just finished a week at Barcelo Margaritas with my three-generation family, ranging in ages from 7 to 70, and it was a really positive experience. The hotel was clean, with well-maintained grounds and pleasant plants and flowers. Our family room was spacious, and we were pleased to have been located directly next door to our relatives. Even though the hotel was fairly busy, it didn’t feel overly crowded. There were enough areas to break away to and relax and find some peace when we wanted it. The animation team were brilliant and friendly and made a real effort to include my children in various activities, such as dancing, games and crafts. They particularly enjoyed the Halloween-themed activities, including trick-or-treating, which was a nice touch. The all inclusive food was good. We especially loved sushi night and the Halloween-themed desserts. There was a great selection of fresh fruits and salads, and the variety of cooked dishes changed daily, keeping things interesting - definitely something for everyone. The drink selection was decent, with good wines, sparkling wine and a variety of cocktails included. The hotel’s pools were nice and we were able to find sunbeds easily. Weather at the end of Oct/early Nov was mid to late 20s so really nice. I made use of the gym and also joined pool yoga and aquafit classes. The local area felt a bit touristy and wasn’t quite our vibe but if you need supermarkets or souvenir shops, these are plentiful and close by. We mostly stayed within the hotel and enjoyed the amenities there. Overall, our stay at Barcelo Margaritas met our family’s needs well, with attentive staff and a range of activities suitable for everyone. I would recommend this hotel for families looking for a nice getaway.

Both Rooms and grounds (inc neat AstroTurf that was very clean and slip free!) Table and chairs outside your door semi-private (some rooms surround the pool) Sunchairs around the pool (but still some 'towel savers' occurred-BAD!!) Big Warm proper swimming pool Big bedroom with mini fridge, Big clean bathroom with double walk in shower, very Hot and powerful water (rain and wand in the shower). Both rooms were modern, clean and fresh. White all round. Good comfortable (double) twin beds Very efficient air conditioning Big double wardrobe for hanging with hangers provided Kettle and Cups (some coffee pods upon arrival) Powerful Hairdryer Room was cleaned every day to a high standard (hang request tag on door) Grounds were cleaned every day ALL staff smiley and happy Reception staff said hello and acknowledged EVERY time, and were VERY helpful. Good, Quiet location Adults only resort so was quiet and peaceful why the minus -1 The safe is Three Euros PER DAY to hire (Expensive cost over two weeks -bad impression). The walk in shower needs a water lip, but the floor towel stops the trickle of water Sly News is the only British speaking TV channel (dozens of German!) Interconnect door (between adjoining apartments) whilst key locked it would be assuring to see a physical bolt lock on the door. Wifi was free and worked (eventually with help of the staff!) but was a very over complicated way to sign in ＞Sunbeds around the pool were' blocked' by the usual anti-social towel hogs - these SHOULD be removed by staff as there are not enough sunbeds on a sunny day. SUMMARY: The rooms and complex were on par with Four Star hotels we've stayed in Remove the silly little things (safe hire Fee, Retune the TV etc, stop sunbed blocking) and this would be a straight 100% tip; do not book with ******* as their fee does not include breakfast WOULD recommend to stay again :-)

We have just returned from this hotel and were really happy with our stay, Nice little complex with friendly staff, rooms have everything you need and it’s in a great location. There was plenty of loungers for sunbathing - my only criticism is the pool is not acclimatised and was absolutely freezing even when it was 26 degrees during the day. Cold to the point you were in and out if you dared brave it. Overall though nice stay and would return but maybe when it was hotter so could use pool.

Great choice and price Dinner half board only thing that let it down. Served inthe Atlantico restaurant in a separate section at the back of this lovely restaurant and a very mediocre selection of uninspired dishes. Ate there a la carte on another evening and that was fab, totally different experience ! Rooms lovely and clean and chocolates left on pillow some days - nice touch. Shane water tea bags and coffee weren’t replenished once used Pool fantastic and spa lovely and staff friendly All in all would recommend !

The facility and the room are very nice. The pool was freezing cold, the heated poll worked like that. The food & drinks need improvement. Sometimes less is more ;-) focusing more on quality would be recommended! We had a dispute about the booking and had to pay extra. However, we did nothing wrong and had to show our confirmation again and again. We found this very unpleasant. There were also difficulties returning the towels. We'll be surprised as to whether our €50 security fee will be charged to the credit card or not. Overall the stay was ok, but we wouldn't come back or recommend it to others.

Stayed here for 4 nights, 22.10.24 - 26.10.24. I've stayed at these apartments a couple of times before about 10 years ago, both in Sun Suites and the Terrazamar section. This time, I booked a room in Terrezamar, which is the lower section and was allocated room 207. Rooms remain a good size and whilst the kitchen cupboards and bathroom unit are the original units the furniture, beds, dinning table are all new and modern, with AC and digital safe provided at no extra cost. All balconies are a great size with modern patio furniture including two full size sunloungers, which is good as you get the sun all day at these apartments due to location, so if you fancy a quiet day you can still chill in your own apartment and not miss a minute of sunshine. Housekeeping is provided every other day and the lady who looked after our room was great, she was very friendly and when we came back to our room to find it flooded as the boiler had burst she wasted no time in sorting everything out and got maintenance straight to the room who replaced the boiler. We would see her most mornings as she started work on level 2 and she would ask us if everything was still OK, so we'd tell her ”no piscina today” which got a thumbs up reply. I didn't get her name, but she is definitely an asset to the hotel. The pool bar is fine, with reasonable prices for food and drink. Our return flight was a late one, so we managed to keep our room on for €30. The hotel is in a good location with the commercial centre with all the bars and restaurants, literally a stones throw away, which could be seen and heard from our apartment. Noise didn't bother us as we were out late most nights anyway, but if you closed your patio door, you could not hear anything, and if you're staying on a higher level, it's unlikely you'll hear anything. As mentioned I've stayed here before and probably wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Puerto Rico again.

Very comfortable hotel in a good location. Very friendly staff, you can relax in the swimming pool. Fully recommend.

The service was excellent, both in reception and restaurant, but the services in the facility were a bit unfavorable in the sense that personally, as I was with my pregnant wife, I had a room on the lowest floor the first day, everything was fine because there is an elevator, but The rest of the days they had them out of service, which in a place like that I think can't go wrong. The gym was a bit poor and the only machine that it had did not work well, the impossible parking on the second day was that I was able to get one and pay it to the hotel, when you go to make a reservation you will see a buffet breakfast option for €4 that does not exist lol. The rest all good. I think that services such as the elevator should be guaranteed to keep them in optimal conditions. For the rest all good.

We’ve just returned from 10 nights at this lovely hotel. I emailed the hotel to arrange taxi transfer and they were very helpful (€75 each way). Taxi was waiting. Beautiful pool access room with comfy loungers on the patio. We were by the quiet pool as requested. Nice breakfasts, clean rooms and every member of staff was so pleasant. We had booked half board but most nights ate out in the lovely town (so many great restaurants) so we used the €17 allowance at the pool bar for lunch. We’ve been to this hotel many times and will definitely be back!
