The room smelled horrible. The bed was uncomfortable and the light in the room was terrible. The size of the room is large. The restaurant was good but the breakfast was poor. He needs a renovation

This was a good hotel with pleasant staff. The room was well appointed. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Our only complaint was that there was no means of reducing the heat, in our room, from the radiator which was too hot to touch. Easy to check in and out.

Best Westerns tend to be older properties with some character thrown in. This is at the side of a main road which is noisy with traffic. Gym facilities listed are old and outdated. Never got to see the leisure facilities (not even sure they’re open).
Shame really as I’ve not had disappointing experiences with this hotel chain before.

Staff friendly and helpful. Good food ....dinner & breakfast. Not ideal if relying on. public transport. Taxi from Ipswich station costs approx £15.Bus stop on road outside hotel. Bus into Ipswich Is infrequent. Check timetable before booking.

Two staff trying to hold everything together, they were both lovely. Hotel was dirty, room was boiling hot with one tiny fan that did nothing. Mattress and pillows both lumpy and smelt odd. Had to dance around in the shower to get wet.

This hotel is terrible.
Whilst the staff try their best, the hotel is under renovation. ( March 24h
So , there is no bar to enjoy a drink.
The room was clean , but the secondary glazing means you struggle to open a window to let clean air in. When you do open it , it’s noisy. They really do need mvhr in there. Then, finally when you get into bed , it was the cheapest mattress I have ever tried to sleep on. I honestly could feel every spring which caused me pain it was so bad. At one point if the night , I considered sleeping in my car. This was room 207 for the hotel staff to verify the poor quality of the mattress. A simple mattress topper would perhaps have made it bearable.
I don’t know who owns this hotel , but ignore the Best Western badge ( it’s not worthy of it ) plus ignore the AA 4 stat sign as you walk in. This hotel is clearly owned by someone who is all about saving money and making a profit. I will not stay here again.
