La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi Northwest

Room was damp with dirty torn carpet . The television didn’t work and when I called the front desk they put me on eternal hold . After waiting, I went to the desk . The desk person said she had been busy but she was sitting in a chair in the corner and the phone was laying on the counter . She then told me they were booked and didn’t have a room to move us too or another television to change ours with . About an hour later the fire alarm went off in our room and I returned to the desk . Different person due to shift change . She said it wasn’t our room . That the fire panel said it was one the third floor . The guest on the third floor said his wasn’t going off . This desk person was able to move us down the hall . This room was equally dirty and damp . The fire alarm continued to go off in the first room and could be heard in the room that we were now in . I also had family in three other rooms, that could hear the alarm and had issues in the rooms with cleanliness. We traveled 6 plus hours to a funeral and had no choice but to stay and make it work but it won’t be a place we will be returning too . Maintenance came in as we were leaving and silenced the alarm quickly too bad it couldn’t have been done 9 hours earlier when we were wanting to sleep .

I always travel with my service dog and was pleased to see this location had a "dog area". This area had grass well cut, however, there was trash everywhere and the doggie waste station was broken. The waste basket was on the ground and there were no waste bags in the receptacle. I always have bags with me but it's nice to know they're available should a guest forget theirs. The elevator floor linoleum was very old and dated with chips in it upon entering. The floor I was on was quite noisy all night. There was a smaller dog barking non-stop for hours. A baby crying/wailing for about 15 minutes( so loud I could hear the baby in my room), the room next to me had their TV on super loud until after 3:30 a.m. I know it was this time because my dog had to relieve himself at 3:10 a.m. The staff was the shining light here. The check in agent was friendly and very efficient. The housekeepers were all very friendly as they all said hello upon passing any of them and the check out agent was friendly. Maintenance crew were nice when I ran into them in the hallways. The staff is what kept me from giving this location all poor ratings. The location was alot further from the beach than I anticipated. Probably won't stay here again due to location and conditions described in review.

I arrived late due to getting off of work. When I arrived, the receptionist was asleep. That part didn't bother me. I was very impressed with pre-check in. When I got to the room, the room was filthy!!! Also, the AC was not working. Mind you, I got in at 130 AM. I was so tired after driving for over 3 hours. Never again will I stay at this location!!! I stay at La Quintas all over, and this is by far the worst location!!!

Very low water pressure

Mattress was bumpy not very comfortable price was good and close to most attractions in the area breakfast was good to clean and well staffed

It was hot in the lobby. But the breakfast and stay was amazing

In need of serious renovation

I did not check it. The outside parking accommodations were horrible. I was worried my vehicle would get stolen or broken into. I requested a refund and ended up staying elsewhere. There are no lights on the outside and the parking was so bad you have to park at the next door gas station. I chose to stay elsewhere. Will never book there again.

Didn't like that the halls were not cooled at all.
