We have just returned from a 7 day holiday, it's really not what we expected at all and overall we feel very disappointed. It's all very mediocr and is not the luxury hotel that others talk about. The Room. Very dated, shower in the bath. Breakfast. It's chaotic, and you have to que just to be seated. On our first day we Queued for about 10 minutes and were then offered a table of 2, when there were 3 of us. Food itself was decent for a breakfast buffet. The restaurants. Terrible, just not good enoug, especially with the pruces they charge. The food is all about a 5 out of 10 and none of it was hot. In one of the restaurants we waited nearly 2 hours for our main, at this point it was 10pm so I sent my wife and son back to the room to get room service and I paid for the starter only and cancelled the main. Watch out for the bread scam, the come over pffering bread in all the restaurants and then charge you €3 per person on your bill, we are talking about a small stale bit of bread that is bearlt edible. Thankfull, we found a great Hotel just a 10 minute walk called The Tivloli Hotel and they had 2 excellent restaurants, The Beafh Club and The Japanaese, both outstanding with great service. We ended up walking there every day for lunch and dinner. The management team at Bahia really could learn a lot from The Tivoli Hotel in terms of food quality and service. If you expect good food and restaurant service don't bother with this hotel, you will be very disappointed.
