Lovely hotel and lodge where our accommodation was. Clean and tidy, comfy bed.

The room was unlocked when we entered. We could not use the mirror in the bathroom because then we had to open a curtain to the garden. Outside looked like a graveyard for cars and there was garbage all over the place. Don’t think it belonged to the hotel but yet it was very visible from the room. On the plus side it was fairly cheap, not very dirty and the room was large.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 My recent stay at Ibis London Gatwick was an absolute delight, thanks to the exceptional customer service provided by Vanessa, the outstanding receptionist at the hotel. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, Vanessa's warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel like a valued guest. She greeted me with a genuine smile, took the time to answer all of my questions, and provided me with helpful information about the hotel and its amenities. Her professionalism, empathy and attention to detail during the check-in process were truly impressive considering I did not have a prior booking and was a walk in guest. Throughout my stay, Vanessa continued to exceed my expectations with her exceptional customer service. Whether it was assisting with travel arrangements, providing directions to local amenities, or simply offering a friendly greeting whenever I passed by the front desk, Vanessa's commitment to ensuring that I had a memorable and comfortable stay was evident in every interaction. I must also commend Gihan, a remarkable member of the restaurant team, for his exceptional service as well. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a top-notch hospitality experience. My partner and I were really impressed with the Crowne Plaza at Felbridge. We had booked a spa day and lunch for 2 through virgin and they were incredibly friendly and accommodating from the start. The spa was in great condition although smaller than you may expect, the treatments were lovely and the staff very nice! The food was also a big surprise as hotel food tends to not be great, but it was amazing! Not sure but the place looks to of had a big refurb in recent times. Can’t recommend enough!

I specifically booked a night at the Sofitel Gatwick because it included 'Meet and Greet' parking with Maple Parking. Had they not included this I would have still stayed but made other arrangments for my car. I arrived at the Maple Parking Meet and Greet and parked the car. Took my keys over to the attendant and signed in. I then asked if they could give me 20 minutes to check in to the hotel, change clothes and bring a bag back to the car. We didnt want to bring a bag of unclean clothes on holiday with us. Here's where things went downhill faster than Gwynth Paltrow on ski's. The attendant, a tall bloke with a mid-european accent shouted at me 'No, do you know you are at an airport'. He actually shouted this. Shouted. To a customer. Take a minute to breathe that in. Fortunatly I knew I was at an airport, having driven 4 hours to get there. To hear that I was at an airport was no surprise, to be shouted at by a car park attendant was. I explained that I didnt want to take a case of unclean clothes on holiday with me. His response to that was 'we are extremly busy and your car will be removed immediately'. I asked if the hotel would hold the bag and he replied 'No they will not hold your stupid bag'. Here's where I should have murdered him with his Maple Meet and Greet Staff lanyard, but I did not. I asked for my keys back to be told once again in an truely agresive manner 'if you take your keys I will close the entry and you can't come back'. I took the keys and left. I then had to park at Gatawick Long stay for an additional £150. We finally checked into the hotel, explained the situation. The checkin lady (Alessia?) apologised and gave us two tokens for a free drink at the bar. They also kept our bag for us. Is this the fault of Sofitel Gatwick? I think it is. They decided to partner with a company that treats people appalingly. So they've got to accept responsibility for that. Please share this review, If I saw something like this I would have chose another car park or another hotel. Other people should be warned.

Stayed here for two nights with a night stay in downtown London. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast ladies were great and awesome to talk too. Front desk staff went out of their way to store some of our luggage for the day we stayed in London. Room was clean and comfortable, can actually walk to the hotel from Gatwick Airport. London is a bit far, but a very nice hotel for flying in/out. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Very close to the GATWICK airport, 7.5KM, close to the nearby town, you can go out to shop and eat. If you are driving, there is a parking space for £7 overnight (compared to the very difficult parking space, the hotel's facilities and charges can be very pleasant to accept.) There are also shuttle buses to the airport. The hotel environment is good, although the road is in front of the road, but it is not noisy. English breakfast is acceptable, except for less vegetables, a pot of coffee is brewed with coffee, not instant coffee. There is also a self-service coffee machine in the lobby and a bar in the evening. The room has a soft linen and complete spare items. The drinks include instant coffee, tea bags, ice buckets and a small fridge. Toothbrushes and slippers need to be provided.

We have been staying at the Hotel for a few weeks now. After long hours at work, we just wanted to stay somewhere where we can disconnect with work, relax and connect with other people. Nevertheless, I would like to share with everyone that Bar attendant (James) would always go that extra mile to ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Is not just about serving you a drink and taking orders. Excellent customer service by always interacting with customers, offering advice, friendly, accommodative making our staying very pleasant.
