We just managed to get dinner on our first evening, and only after some persuasion, with the hotel pleading that it was short staffed. But on our second night, the hotel just refused to serve us dinner stating that they were again short staffed. This resulted, we discovered, as a result of providing a sit down dinner for a group of 40 plus. Not good for an hotel of such high standing and reputation who had not planned ahead.

This hotel did not disappoint. We slept great.. quiet peaceful well appointed hotel rooms, grounds and restaurant. Highly highly recommend.

Terribly understaffed, and the menu was very limited and of questionable quality. It seemed like the chef had left the hotel and the dishes were prepared by a (bad) amateur chef. When asked for compensation at checkout, we were flatly refused.

Beautiful buildings and gardens with delightful outdoor seating in courtyard. Sadly very understaffed. Could not get a drink at the bar. Waiters rushed off their feet. Very comfortable bed. Well appointed room with everything one could need. Menu somewhat limited. We had stayed many years ago and the comparison was not favourable. Layout of breakfast buffet poorly designed and led to bunching. En suite basin strangely positioned in a corner. Plastic bath disconcertingly flexing underfoot.

Nous avons passé deux jours dans ce bel endroit où dès l'entrée on se sent dépaysé , les batiments et les jardins sont somptueux. l'ensemble du personnel est vraiment charmant les repas tant du diner que du petit déjeuner sont variés. une grande chambre où rien ne manque. Vraiment une belle adresse. Nous avons apprécié le calme ainsi que le grand parking.

Enchanté de cette trouvaille au coeur des plages historiques du débarquement. Un hôtel charmé d'histoire et rénové avec goût, les chambres, les parties communes, le restaurant, le bar...tout est splendide! Nous avons également bien mangé et le personnel autant à la réception qu'au restaurant est sympathique. Nous reviendrons.

Wij aten hier voor de 4e keer in 6 jaar. Tot nu toe naar genoegen. Dit was de laatste keer. Ze spelen het niet klaar om op 19.00 uur open te gaan. De tafel naast ons kreeg pas na 35 minuten een drankje. Dezelfde knorrige ober ( die kennelijk in de 25 jaar dat hij daar al werkt behoorlijk verzuurd is) en een zenuwachtig meisje moesten ± 30 man bedienen. En dat lukte niet. Dat kan je dus ook de directie kwalijk nemen die, om zuinigheidsredenen, te weinig personeel inzet. Er was die avond geen menu, er werden dus slechts 2 gerechten aanbevolen. Best aardig maar niet bijzonder. Gevraagd naar een schoteltje water voor de hond ging dat meisje naar de keuken en kwam terug met de mededeling dat er geen bakje voor de hond was. Al met al een ongezellige avond. Jammer want het zou een populair bedrijf kunnen zijn.

What a lovely setting for our time in Normandy. Our room was like stepping back in time with all the modern amenities one would expect. We especially appreciated the assistance, attention and friendliness of the reception staff. Breakfast options were plentiful and our dinner at the restaurant was delicious.
