JW Marriott El Convento Cusco

The best hotel experience for me in all of my travel. The saying you get what you paid for is so accurate. Yes, it’s pricey to stay here but boy is it worth it. This hotel is truly a paradise and oasis for your long day of traveling and hiking. First the hotel is beautiful and centrally located. There are so many activities and amenities that the guests can participate in the hotel. We did the hotel tour and interacted with the baby alpaca. Second, the room and the amenities provided in the room were so carefully throughout. The food during breakfast was great and there were varieties. But what truly make this hotel stand out for me is the staff. From the bellboy, to the front desks and the servers.. all the staff treated all the guests with care. We had an issue with our pickup at the train station (no fault of the hotel or us) but they were very apologetically about it and the staff wanted to make sure we were ok which we were. All in all., if you have the money to spend.. stay here. It was such an amazing two nights experience for my husband and I,
Hotel Paradis Suite Cusco

my partner and I were here in Sept 2021 and this was by far in our top 3 places we stayed (perhaps number 1) and really enjoyed our stay(s) - left for Machu Picchu then returned, leaving our stuff at Hotel Paradis - and would most definitely return. The rooms were excellent and in my plebeian life, I’ve not been afforded the opportunity for having a both a jacuzzi and sauna in suite. The staff were amazingly accommodating, helpful (especially when needed to print out travel docs), and quick to address any concerns. Room service was excellent and delicious. We enjoyed our massages so much (especially after a grueling day hiking Rainbow Mountain) and my partner loved both the saunas in room and downstairs. Despite still being a pandemic, they did everything possible to make our stay effortless and everything we saw was quite clean. The neighborhood felt safe and we often walked to market. We needed laundry done during our stay and they exceeded expectations with the turnaround time. This was the longest hotel stay of our trip and as stated previously, likely the most enjoyable. If/when we make it back to Cusco, this will be a priority to stay here. Beds are comfy and not very loud since on a side street. Excellent food.

Note: This review is for the spa facilities only. As part of our Bellini Club booking of a 8d/7n Journey in Peru experience, we were offered 30 minute massages at this property. We decided to top it up with 60 min massages and so glad that we did! This property is located right next door to Monasterio where we were staying and very centrally located. An extremely serene atmosphere upon entering, the spa was instant relaxation. There is an ample size locker room with showers and a steam room, and a nice large waiting/relaxation area. Massage rooms were large and environment perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. Therapist and spa staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend booking a massage upon arrival in Cusco to help you relax and adjust to the altitude.
