On the date of my arrival (May 20, 2024, at 8am) the receptionist who attended to me was rude, rude, unavailable and very aggressive. She did not provide me with information regarding access to the room, she refused to insist on my payment via Visa credit card, she refused to clearly write her name so that I could report her bad behavior. The room I stayed in did not correspond to my reservation instructions through HRS (from the World Bank), it did not have a view of the sea or pool. The mattress was extremely soft, without comfort, which prevented me from sleeping well, I needed a more rigid/orthopedic mattress, as I was at work and it is very important to be able to rest well and wake up without back pain. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

Ibis is much better than the local hotel at the same price, sharing a small courtyard and a garden with Novotel. Can choose the sea view room, very quiet, recommended.

We were blown away by how nice this place was – a veritable oasis in a busy, noisy city. Very trendy and modern with a laid back vibe and African feel. The location in Ngor is great, close to many points of interest, with lots of restaurants and convenience stores located within about 5-minutes walk. The hotel staff were all great, very friendly and welcoming with good English. The rooms are all individual chalets with private courtyards set in African gardens – plenty of privacy. Our room was spacious and modern with all the amenities you’d expect – AC, coffee maker, fridge, TV, hairdryer, etc. The Wifi internet was super fast and we enjoyed the complimentary nuts and coconut cakes. Great bathroom/shower, plenty of space. Everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were surprised to find a relatively well-equipped gym on site, complete with 3 good-quality cardio machines (elliptical, bike, & treadmill), a small selection of dumbbells, and a plate-loaded multigym/safety rack. Also a few benches and other odds and ends. We had some great workouts here. The pool and restaurant are very attractive and trendy. We enjoyed our excellent daily poolside a la carte breakfasts, and ate an evening meal here as well – excellent burgers! There are a few friendly felines roaming the property as well. Overall we had an amazing stay and can’t really find anything negative to say. We would love to stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

The layout of the room is compact, it feels like a board room, not very soundproof, but there are not many people staying during the election, the windows are closed, can not be opened, breakfast is good, but the breakfast style is basically the same every day

I was skeptical at first after reading the bad reviews/comments. But this hotel surprised me! I stayed on the 3rd floor, in one of the renovated rooms. Shower was great, (after i figured out how to close the door!). Toilets are equipped with a bidet, hairdryer, iron and toiletries available (shower gel, shampoo, lotion - not the greatest quality though). Though there is a language barrier, the staff are friendly, and super helpful. Few minor issues: (1) Intermittent wifi connectivity on the 3rd floor (consider purchasing an esim, I purchased from Airalo). (2) ATM did not work for a few days. (3) traffic is a nightmare. Regarding the traffic (seems like a general dakar issue), Blaise Diagne International Airport, is about 60km away, however the trip to the hotel took 2+ hours. Plan activities and travel with this in mind!

Excellent
We chose this hotel due to reviews here and the location in Dakar. Having traveled in various African countries it sounded like a good deal. We arrived after busy working days in Senegal (for my wife) and Burkina Faso (for me) in the Oceanic. So we needed some calm and quiet and thought - since the hotel is away from the main streets - this would be alright. It was a Thursday night during the Football World Cup 2022 - we would have expected some noise, but since all the games had ended at 21:00 - the night should be calm and quiet. We had some food outside and arrived for the night at about 23:00 with a tremendous noise. - ”oh, it's just the neighbours, they will stop at midnight” - that's what we were told at the reception - this happens every Thursday - apparently. Now if you check my pictures - you can see there is absolutely no noise canceling in the rooms - neither the door, nor the window keeps even a whisper outside - but especially no bass from a 200.000W Karaoke machine. So - incredible noise until about 00:15 - then slowly but steadily the noise went ... We were told this only happens on Thursday - so we left Dakar on Saturday for a tour and decided to give the hotel another go for two nights on our return to Dakar before we headed back home. Big mistake. We arrived back on a Tuesday about a week later. After a long trip all through Senegal - again - for some quiet winding down. And then it started - Tuesday night - Metallica in your room - I am serious - even if I raised my computer volume or the TV volume to the max - no way it could be louder than the noise that entered from the neighbours. Incredible. 22.00 - the receptionist went over to the restaurant and asked them to turn the music down - result: the music volume in the room went down from Metallica, let's say to Johnny Hallyday. So I went down again at 23.00 and asked the reception to go over there again, to call the owner, the police or to find us another room. Now the nightmare starts. The receptionist was repectless and told me to find a new hotel - if I am not happy with my room and the noise. He will not call the police - and the owner already called the neighbours - everyone helpless - as we found out. I stayed at the reception until 00.15 - the music was still going strong - we were offered nothing - they were helpless and the receptionist rude (he never came back to say he was sorry, neither did the owner encourage that - since we met him again the following night - he barely looked at me). The next morning the owner of the hotel came to explain to us, that there is a political issue and that he can not do anything about the noise. The police will not do anything (that is what he was telling us) that's why he will never call them. Well - if you never try, you never know, as Coldplay said. He told us that they had an agreement, that there will only be noise on Thursdays - we saw how that agreement worked out... And what an agreement that is - I guess that should be
SSHASHI AMARNANIAmazing hotel. Clean, big room size. Hotel staff was kind. Hotel is 15mins away from the proper down town area. Hotel should give more water, at check in only gave 1 bottle. And the next day didn’t put a new bottle.
HHANWEIBreakfast is not like, bread, omelet, 1 each, coffee, drink a cup to check out 3500 West. There is no toothbrush and toothpaste slippers in the room. The spa does not have to buy it outside. The charging plug of the mobile phone is not the same as buying the conversion head; the room is still clean.
WWENJUNThe reception building is above the ground, the guest rooms are below the ground, and the sea view room is developed on the cliff.
There are airport buses that run every 2 hours. But it's not free. One bus costs 20,000 West African CFA francs, and the other 35,000. We leave at 5 o'clock and drive to the international airport for one hour. I don't know how much it costs to get to the airport.
Turn right out of the gate 100 meters and there is a shopping center with a market operation inside, and there are boxed lunches and grilled chicken for sale.
GGuest UserI’m in two minds about this hotel - there’s a lot of great aspects but equally a lot of improvements needed. In the days leading up to my stay I tried to reach out for assistance with transport from the hotel, but unfortunately there was no response to email and difficulty with English over the phone. Fortunately taxis are easy enough to source at the airport but allow at least an hour, and my return took two hours in peak traffic. Checking in was an easy process with staff on hand to help with luggage despite it being an early hour of the morning. Staff were friendly and quickly explained the facilities and although it felt a basic affair it was quick. My room was on the same level as reception and was listed as a Superior Single room. Fortunately this didn’t equate to only having a single bed and the room was pretty spacious. With a tiled floor throughout and effective air-conditioning it was a cool room despite the hot weather and with a separated living area by a step it would be a comfortable space for an extended stay. There was a large desk with kettle but only a single coffee sachet provided, which felt tight despite the single occupancy. There was a large bottle of mineral water however. The TV was wall mounted opposite the bed, a decent enough size for the room but with rather poor picture quality and only a single channel in English from the US. The selling point for the hotel rooms has to be the sea facing views though, along with the balconies. This is a nice space with the seats and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks below a great feature, although I’m not sure I’d feel so relaxed during stormy weather! The bathroom was an okay space with plenty of storage space around the sink. Again, only a single item of each toiletry was provided, and none of them seemed to match, but there were enough towels of decent enough quality. Bizarrely the toilet seat was too small for the actual toilet and there was no form of door or curtain on the shower which made it feel a bit of work-in-progress area. The shower head was good, but with very sensitive temperature control and inconsistent heat, but at least a large unit. Overall it was a comfortable enough room. There were some bugs which could be found, small within the lower living room area, some larger hiding in the gaps around the wardrobe, but not something which couldn’t be put to the back of the mind. A lot of the decor appeared to be water damaged and was really due a touch up, both within the bathroom and main bedroom ceiling. Housekeeping weren’t always the quietest in the morning, but they always observed the privacy sign and there was zero noise from the adjacent rooms. On the lower level is the restaurant, and below that the bar. Both overlook the ocean but have very limited seating outdoors. The air-conditioning inside is very effective and the staff all very friendly, but somewhat limited with English. With the lights off during the day it didn’t always feel the most cosy
GGuest UserThe hotel is a very good hotel and is very good for the guests . The price is sassament instead of making a price it increases us. we go out to take breakfast and we have made it good not to disturb. we get back we get surprised that the household woman comes back and she has paid our card. we are not preparing The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. We go to the reception I say it is wrong I just got one night and we already pay 2 nights from our arrival. The price is not the price it leaves clients fashion and decu and we're more c their fault .and after a long discussion we're paying the difference but it's really disgusting For a 4 star hotel, but sayer we'll return to this very hobbit hotel.
FFANGThe hotel is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and it is very good for vacation and leisure. You can see the sun rising on the Atlantic Ocean... There are a lot of eagles here. Whether hovering, swooping or perching, eagles will make you remember them with a special call. The service is very good, the breakfast provided by the hotel is very good, the pool is also very good, the service is great
巴巴黎街的烟斗The location is not convenient and there are no restaurants nearby. The room design is a bit strange, the shower is open and there is no door. The only thing is that health is quite good.
