Family-friendly Hotels in Dalat

Right from beginning everything was fine. Absolutely awesome property and nostalgic French property. Climate was absolutely fine inspite of heavy rain for past few days. I first met at reception Ma Kh’anh who explained lucidly everything about Resort along with a cup of ginger tea. She looked after well everything during stay at Ana Mandara. Regarding food I can say they are best for Vietnamese food. Mr Huong is main chef who has splendid Vietnamese recipes and taste of food absolutely fantastic. Resort is located at a serene place which gives plenty of time to relax. Swimming pool is warmed and I swam there couple of times. It’s a typical French colonial property and everything in order. I will highly recommend.

What was good 1. Absolutely splendid location! Situated next to Tuyển Làm lake. The lake and the surroundings are breathtaking. Away from the city, serene and quiet. 2. Villas are spacious. We had two bedrooms, a sitting room, two bathrooms. Ideal for a family of four. 3. Breakfast spread was good, as expected in any resort. 4. Vegetarian menu was available and dishes were nice. We had lunch and dinner and it was good. 5. There are peacocks and peahen walking everywhere. They make the place look surreal, you may feel you are in a Mughal garden! What can be better 1. The villas seem to be needing more maintenance- there were nooks and corners dusty or needing repairs. The pool looked shabby! 2. The shuttle bus frequency can be increased perhaps. Currently three times in a day to go to Dalat and return.

My second time visit. This hotel does not disappoint me as always. Kind services, peaceful environment, clean facilities etc. When I go to the downtown, it's very easy to take taxi. They are waiting us almost every chance when we need. Anyway this hotel is the place I choose whenever I visit DALAT.

The hotel is lovely. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. We had a couple of service glitches at dinner on our first night and the issues were handled professionally. The F&B manager sought us out and addressed them. We even received a complimentary bottle of wine & fruit platter, which was greatly appreciated. The top floor bar is unique in that it doubles as a strawberry nursery. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is located in the city center, very close to Dalat Night Market. There are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It is very convenient. The room is spacious. The only shortcoming is that when cleaning the room, they were not very careful. The floor was not cleaned and some small garbage was not removed. This part needs to be strengthened, and my personal perception is not very good.

Excellent customer service from all staff.Room was almost new and very clean.Breakfast was good.Omelette station and PHO soup station were nice touch.For the price of $32 definitely worth it.My suggestion is to put cup and teaspoon on table for hot cofffee.Overall,room and stay were good. Breakfast staff Minh and Chuc and Le ,and Tuan were all great! Phuc And Uyen in reception area were very helpful.Luggage’s was delivered to our room.Motorbike rental (150,000Viet)was arrange by Uyen.Their motorbikes look newer and no need to stress out to find rentals.You can park it in garage overnight with NO extra charge.Makes our stay in DALAT very convenient.You definitely need the semi-automatic motorbikes to visit Datanla Waterfalls(Alpine coaster) and do some loops. Because it was located in the mountains far away from the city, the golf course and mountain views were great. This was both an advantage and a disadvantage. I couldn't catch a taxi because it was far from the city, but the free shuttle bus dropped me off near Big C Mart, so I used it comfortably. The swimming pool was very pretty in the pictures, but I couldn't swim because the water was dirty.

We arrived around 19:30 the hotel looks really grand from the outside but I just can’t put my finger on it as this hotel is very weird and just soulless. Some bullet points, big hotel with no idea/ imagination of how to dress it, room’s dated with mould and flaking paint on the walls, I don’t think the pillows case’s had been changed as they smelt of being used, swimming pool is bizarre as it looks as though it’s set out for a wedding function with chairs/tables set around the pool, corridors are dimly lit with eiry music playing looks like it should be in a spooky Hitchcock film, bar still closed due to Covid (seriously), breakfast has lots of choice but is of poor quality and strange choice(best I ate was steamed sweet corn) noodle bar staff were more interested in playing on their phones, staff were polite enough but ? a lack of hospitality training, the hotel is in run down part of town we only realised this as we moved hotels after one night stay and found a lovely place over looking the lake for half the price( money was never the issue) I feel this hotel needs serious investment as it is sadly no where near a 4 * hotel and that’s not me being fussy as Iv traveled extensively in Vietnam and am still touring. This is second hotel I tried in Dalat. It is a very lovely villa style hotel. The overall design is simple gorgeous from the lobby to your villa (room) I am staying at villa 5 which is very near to the lobby. You don’t need to use the cabby service & I prefer to walk so as to enjoy the peaceful environment. Pls note there is no lift and my room is on the 3rd floor which is the highest. The room is very spacious and pretty. They are using UK/US power points which are available on both sides of the bed. Do note that one of the power points has been used for the alarm clock but you can easily remove it. For the bedside lamp, it is using touch sensor. Have fun trying to turn it on and adjust the brightness. There are 4 mineral water bottles (2 inside the bar fridge), 3-4 type of tea bags to choose from and coffee too. Toilet and shower are separated. The water pressure is strong and have constant hot water. They provide refillable nice bath gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion too. Though there is air conditioning, I can’t control which later is fixed by the technician. However, it is still not that cold even it is 20 degree, more like 25-26 degree. I don’t like hot temperature and my “sensor” body can tell the coldness of the room, haha. Wanted to open the window as it is so much cooler. Give up the idea as I am more worried about the mosquitoes. Suggest to put a mosquitoes net so that we can open the window. Woke up every nights as I feel so warm using the blanket. Nevertheless, the staff are very helpful and eager to serve you though some may not be fluent in English. The toilet looks pretty but the basin area is just too small. My toiletries bag will get wet when using the basin The breakfast is very delicious and many varieties to choose from. Try to avoid peak hour from 7:30am to 8:45am. You should try their 1929 Lobby Bar, they are delicious too. Overall, I have a good stay and my girlfriend is happy and my positive energy fully recharged! Highly recommended!

Grandiose hotel with comfortable rooms with balconies. Breakfast is good. Hotel is walking distance for the lake and market and 2 blocks away from the Crazy House. But... The shower is a disaster!! You will have to mop the floor after showering and during you will have to be aware of the amount of water that is flowing outside into the bathroom floor. It's a common problem as the wood frame around the door is rotted from repeated overflow. The shower curtain is not waterproof and is too long. Regardless but you try to do, water will flow around the frame of the tub, flooding the bathroom floor. There is a large step that needs to be taken into the tub with no handles or supports to assist the elderly. It's actually a dangerous shower!! I can't understand why this has not been addressed by the management. It's time for an upgrade.
