I had a fantastic stay at Guoshi Hotel in Dalian. The location is superb, just a quick 5-minute drive from the conference center, making it incredibly convenient for business travelers. Additionally, the hotel is close to several popular tourist attractions, allowing for easy exploration of the city during downtime. The drop off street is narrow, but the driver can still drop you off at the entrance.
The staff was exceptional—always friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any requests. They allowed us to use the conference room and a late check out.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. I would have loved coffee in my room, but they have a coffee machine at the lobby. I recommend Guoshi Hotel for anyone visiting Dalian, whether for business or leisure. It's the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and outstanding service!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We thought it was a nice, very convenient hotel near the Zhongshan Square. We paid for the buffet breakfast and really enjoyed that too - there were lots of options to choose from. Also, check in was very smooth and easy.

I came here after watching the fountain at Xinghai Square. The layout is very warm and comfortable. The bedding is soft and clean, which makes people sleep well all night. The facilities and equipment are all available. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, and the surrounding transportation is convenient, so you can travel without worries. There are also many barbecues and restaurants nearby. In short, this hotel is first-class in both hardware facilities and software services. I strongly recommend it to everyone. I will choose here again next time I travel.

This is a warm and cozy hostel with a bar and pool table. Along the staircase there are pieces of artwork for you to pause and appreciate. There are also two cuddly cats to keep you company late an night if you prefer to spend time in the common area. The microwave is a life saver on those mornings during which you have to head out super early. Apart from the subway station which is a five minute walk from the hostel, there is actually a bus stop right in front with public buses taking you directly (no luggage scans! No line transfers!) to the People’s Square, Zhongshan Square, Russian Village and even the airport.

It's close to the airport, a three-minute drive. Responsible for airport drop-off. The facilities are relatively new and clean. It is more convenient to have food, supermarket, etc. downstairs. It’s perfect for an overnight layover. Small disadvantages: 1. There are seven steps before going up to the elevator. It is inconvenient to have too much luggage. 2. The shampoo is from a different brand and the hair is not smooth after washing.

1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian.
2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening.
3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging.
4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available)
5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well.
6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

JJacob WayneThe hotel staff were so kind and friendly. They did not speak English but we're able to communicate using a translation APP. The brought extra water bottles to my room and asked about the room temperature. I ended up staying at my girlfriend's apartment instead of the hotel after the first night and they allowed me to cancel even though they didn't have to. I had ordered a jacket to be delivered to my room, which ended up arriving after I checked out. The hotel kept it for me and let me pick it up from there once delivered. The view from my room was awesome. The only negative was the walls were a little thin and I could hear the neighbors. I'd definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserThis second time staying here, like the first, didn't disappoint. As before, visiting during the off-peak time is ideal for a quiet, uncrowded getaway.
The sea-view room is welcoming and comfortable, with a view that is uncluttered and peaceful; opening the patio doors to the sound of waves rolling in equals instant relaxation. Aside from having a super comfortable bed and all the useful amenities one could need, there were simple niceties about the room, like the ability to adjust the temperature and fan speed (which runs quietly without disturbing sleep), ample hot water to fill a soaker tub, and multiple options for adjusting the room lighting.
The hotel is immaculately clean, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and access to the beach is just steps away. The breakfast is substantial, with a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. The staff was friendly and happy to care for our needs, even providing a power converter which I forgot to pack.
Those in search of a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city can't go wrong by staying here. Highly recommend, and hope to visit again in the future. Hats off to the staff. 感谢你们让我们住得特别舒服！

The breakfast and dinner buffets were very tasty. Best breakfast buffet we’ve had in China so far! The only improvement would be the smell of the bedding in the room. It smelled just a bit dusty.

我我叫莎莎This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

KKeithWe stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights during our first visit to Dalian in May. The room was very clean and had some very useful amenities such as a refrigerator, clothes washer and a bidet toilet. It was very convenient to wash our clothes and save money.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Mr. Chen helped me find an excellent Thai massage spa (Tai Baba) nearby and helped us get taxis. We are especially grateful to the manager Mr. Leon. He left his busy post at the front desk and walked with me several blocks to get medicine for my wife who was briefly ill.
We opted for the Chinese breakfast all three days and it was very good. However, the western food selection was limited. That was not a problem for us because the Chinese food was delicious. We are from the USA.
Mr. Leon recommended an excellent Japanese restaurant (Konoha or Jiuye) with a huge menu selection in the same building. We ate there twice and there was a waitress who spoke fluent Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel. Also, the hotel is located near a shopping mall with a huge food court on the top floor. We recommend Chinese and foreigners to stay at the Shan Shui S Hotel when visiting Dalian. It made our trip to the beautiful, friendly city of Dalian memorable.

DDeor21I read reviews that there is a free pick-up and drop-off service at the airport. I was on a connecting flight and landed at 11pm. I called to make a reservation and it was actually past the pick-up and drop-off time. However, my sister was very reliable and still made the reservation for me.
I was surprised when I was picked up from the airport. The small business car was clean and tidy and on time. The driver also helped with the luggage.
It was late when we arrived at the hotel. We got a free upgrade. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was quite rich. The price of RMB 100+ was super value for money. The service was so good that it doubled my impression of Dalian.
I would like to praise my night shift sister at the front desk for her patience, attentiveness and reliability. Thank you for helping me make hot and sour noodles at three in the morning. I wish you everything will get better and better.

GGuest UserThe location is easy to find, right next to Xinghai Square. You can go to the park and see the sea when you go out. The guy at the front desk is very enthusiastic and professional. The house is very quiet, with good sound insulation, and the cleaning is quite timely. When I came back from breakfast, I found that it had been cleaned for us. Although the breakfast buffet does not have many styles, the quality is excellent. I will come again next time
