Beautiful central reception. Serene looking out on the surrounding water ecosystems from the library and from the infinity pool. Lovely open air upstairs restaurant. Rooms spacious and look impressive but could do with some updating as had an issue with air conditioning.

Vil Uyana was a very nice hotel offering a different experience. The hotel is situated in the dry zone of Sri Lanka, but constructed with water and nature all around. We stayed in one of the Forest Dwelling with a Pool, which was great. Almost the whole ground floor was a very large bathroom with a shower, tub and two sinks etc. This opens up to your private pool, which has a lot of privacy. The top floor is a bedroom with an attached toilet, with very nice views of the surroundings. Our view included the restaurant and the lake and the evening and morning views were superb. The hotel has many electric carts which you can call anytime to get to anywhere. Each room has a personal butler as well. The hotel pool is very nice too, and has nice and warm water around noon for a refreshing swim. The bar menu and restaurant menu, food and drinks are all good. However, during the busy dinner time, its best to come a bit early to the restaurant since there could be a bit of a delay with the meals. We also went on a night safari, but unfortunately missed the fishing cats, although we saw some other animals such as elephants, owls and birds.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We had such an incredible experience at the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were blown away by the surroundings and the lake and cannot believe all the wildlife we got to see. The room was incredible with incredible views and so spacious! The hotel is close by to local attractions but feels so peaceful! Dissa made us both feel special and provided such a fantastic service. He was very attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed and more. We cannot thank him enough for making our experience so fantastic.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Vil Uyana to celebrate her birthday. Vil Uyana is one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka and this was our 5th visit here since 2016. The unique setting, food and service are all exceptional. Special thanks to Charith the new F&B manager who interacted with us throughout our stay and made sure our stay was a really memorable one. It was also nice to see many old staff, including our butler Gamini who had been assigned to us on our last visit in 2022.

Very peaceful and beautiful hotel with excellent restaurant, with first class cookery The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to accommodate us The rooms were a tad tired but saying that we had a wonderful time there The lake was a haven for birds and the resident crocodile and we applaud the desire for eco tourism

Amazing and luxurious journey! service was amazing in addition to the luxurious hut! design was really authentic in addition to the pool and to the infinity view, food was also amazing authentic and multinational cuisine , will visit again!

Wonderful location on a small, private nature reserve. The rooms are huge and very close to nature - we had to chase a bat out of our room one night! The pool area is stunning and we saw a kingfisher and a grey-headed fish eagle whilst sitting there. The highlight of our stay, though, was the evening Loris walk with the resident naturalist. Thanks to his expertise we saw 3, which was amazing. It was great to meet someone so knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. Oh, and we were given anniversary cake no. 2!

This was our second time staying at Jetwing Vil Uyana, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. The service provided by the entire staff was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated with the utmost care and attention. The food was exceptional – every meal was a culinary delight, with a fantastic range of flavours and beautifully presented dishes. The accommodation was equally impressive. Our room was impeccably clean, stylish, and provided a serene atmosphere that allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our stay. What stood out the most was the genuine warmth and hospitality of the staff. They were attentive to every detail, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Overall, Jetwing Vil Uyana continues to be a haven of luxury and tranquillity. We will definitely be returning for another memorable stay. Highly recommended
