The Stay Company, Friar Gate

Amazing stay at the Stay Company. I appreciate the fresh milk, cereals and hot chocolate provided at the property. Everything was so clean and tidy. The little living room with a couch was very cozy too. The price is very cheap for this standard. I feel sorry for myself that I didn't find the gem earlier. But I'll definitely stay there again next time I come to Derby.

We went here for the weekend as we had a function in Derby. It was a last minute booking and it was more than expected. 15min walk to the Derbion mall, Bus 8 or G just opposite the apartment and 7 to 10 min on Uber. Attended the cinema and it was fun 😁 Hindsight: Home away from home.

Apartment could be noisy at night due to proximity to busy roads and poorly soundproofed windows. Apart from that the apartment was clean, facilities were excellent and a welcome pack was provided which was much appreciated.

The property was lovely and clean and exactly as advertised. The welcome pack was a nice touch, to be able to make drinks and light breakfast without having to find a shop. Friendly and helpful messaging. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic weekend and the property in Friar Gate is ideal. 10 minute walk to Derby city centre. Shops and pubs even closer for essentials. Staff on site to help and responded immediately to all requests. Highly recommend if visiting the city.

The property is a really good place to stay for in Derby centre. The accommodation is spacious and fully equipped for both business and pleasure . Very well presented and well maintained Far superior to central hotels with parking onsite and included in the price The fridge was stocked with milk and water and there was plenty of tea and coffee, biscuits and cereal too ! Not only a hairdryer but and iron and ironing board too. I had a puncture so worked a day at the property, and the wifi was excellent.

The check in instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. Upon arrival, we were able to park and collect the room key as instructed. Unfortunately, when we opened the door we were met with a drainage smell, after investigation was from the shower drain. This smell had polluted the whole flat. I switched on the bathroom extractor fan and opened the windows in hopes of airing out the smell. We were also staying during the weekend, which was outside of working hours, so the issue couldn't be dealt with. The smell did improve over time, especially after we had a shower. This was the only issue with the flat, everything else was good. The bed was comfortable, the lounge/kitchen was adorable and intimate. It allowed us to spend time together away from distractions. The flat was very close to the city centre, so we were able to walk to Derbion to get something to eat. The flat was stocked with appliances and breakfast items. All in all, we had a good time, the only downside was the smell, hence the 3 stars instead of 5 stars.

As always, we had a great stay in one of these beautiful apartments. We have stayed here a number of times and they never disappoint. The apartments are always clean and well stocked with mini breakfast boxes, tea, coffee and even a bottle of milk in the fridge. Thanks again.
