Baobab Beach Resort & Spa Reviews

Everything was great with this hotel, from the view to the service. The beach is very beautiful and clean. There are quite a few of beach boys on the beach waiting to sell things to you. However if you tell them politely you’re not interested, they’ll leave you alone. It’s very close to Ukunda airport, only 10min drive. One major thing this resort needs to improve is the foods. The foods are no where close to a 5 star resort standard. They’re normal than normal. Limited varieties. This was the most disappointing part. However because of the superb view and services, I was able to enjoy the trip! Will definitely go back and hope the foods are good by then.

The hotel is very good, the rooms are big, and the buffet is great among hotels in Kenya. The hotel has prepared gifts for the children~ What a surprise. The waiters are polite and thoughtful. The hotel has multiple swimming pools, a buffet restaurant, and the beach is right down the steps~

The beach is very beautiful, with fewer tourists, which is more suitable for vacation, quiet and beautiful, the infinity pool is very good, the hotel restaurant is also good, suitable for vacation and leisure, I like it very much

The room is very good, and the buffet is also delicious. You can see the sea at the door, Lying on the sofa outside the house, you can feed the monkeys. Every day when you wake up, you can go to the beach for a walk, catch the sea, very happy, and will come again next time!

When it comes to a holiday in Diani, the choice of hotel is definitely Baobab Beach resort. My daughter and I through the years have chosen Baobab over and over because to us they are simply the best! This year we had an amazing ocean facing room that was just breathtaking. Our room was spotless and our bed was very comfortable. I can also say that Baobab has the best staff in Diani. We always encountered a friendly smile and genuinely great interaction from everyone from the day we checked in to the day we left. Thank you for making all your guests feel welcome Jeff we will definitely be back! Can't wait to see how the renovations will turn out.

In combination with the safari you will not easely forget this resort. The friendly staff, the hakuna matata vibe, good food en amazing view make this trip unforgettable. The wildlife within the resort create extra entertainment and add that extra dimension to your stay here.

We are Marco & Linda and have just returned from a 3 week holiday at the Baobab Beach resort in Diani beach Kenya. What a fantastic experience that was. We had a room in the Kole Kole part of the resort, where we had a view of the beautiful courtyard gardens where we had a lot of company from the Colobus monkey family, very nice and playful curious, but also certainly naughty monkeys. It had a nice spacious, very clean room, which was cleaned every day. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always up for a chat, not because they have to, but because the people are genuinely friendly and have a good laugh. From the cleaners to the gardeners, everyone says hello and makes sure you have a good time. Even though the resort was under renovation and not all restaurants and bars were available, it did not hinder our enjoyment. The staff makes it a party for the full 100%. Be sure to have a drink at the Suli Suli bar at the infinity pool and meet bartender Lawrence, in our opinion the bartender of the year and the smileiest and friendliest man we have encountered. He certainly brought something extra to our holiday. You will recognize him by his infectious laugh. Thank you Lawrence for your extra good service, genuine interest and pleasant chats and certainly the good drinks. Don't be put off by the beach boys on the beach, they are already waiting for you when you go onto the beach. They also try to make some money, but if you say clearly and politely that you want to be left alone, they will certainly do that. So just go for a walk on the beach, it's definitely worth it. We recommend everyone to come to Baobab Beach resort in Diani Beach Kenya for the ultimate relaxing holiday, the food is delicious, the drinks taste good and also check out the shows of the Jambo animation team, they put on a great show every evening. in the amphitheater, or throw a fun pool party. They also deserve a compliment. We also booked a safari in between, and did this through Oranje Safari. They offer many ranges of safaris. Therefore, do not book a safari from your own country or through your tour operator, but look locally, so you also help the local people. For example, you can book Baobab directly at the park via Pollmans Safari or take a look at Oranje Safari. The owner of Oranje Safari is a Kenyan man who speaks Dutch, because he studied there, which was very pleasant for us with communication, and he personally comes to meet his customers before the safari. We will definitely come back to Baobab Beach resort in Diani beach Kenya. Despite the intensive journey you make via Nairobi and Mombasa, via the Ferry to Diani, it is certainly worth it. A new access road will also open from July 2024, making the Ferry no longer necessary. But don't be put off by the travel distance. A direct domestic flight from Nairobi to Diani beach with Jambo jet is also an option. Hakuna Matata!

I would like to give you all team Baobab our gratitude for the best service, Reception: top thanks for the kindness and be helpful, my fiance phone we forgot it at the restaurant and Reception &restaurant keep it for us, very honest and friendly people's, I would like to mention the name stated with (z) our first day hosting I think she is zainab, very charming and friendly..but all they are super active for and helpful.. Restaurant: Top service and thanks team for the saving my fiance phone too, so attentive and always asking for the help, the names I remember is STARA, JAKOB, SUSAN.. Kitchen: top food my favorite was pasta, salad, soup and fruits super delicious.. names to mention, Hamisi, Jons, Zakaria mwavumbani trainy, hadija chapati maker .. Bar : great drinks, cocktails amazing and super service, names.. Hamisi, mwinyi, Abubakar.. Rooms/hk : Great rooms and super clean, house keeper do the great job and thanks for super service.. Garden: I love the arrangement of the green grass and flowers, the entrance to kolekole main gate it's incredibly nature .. Animation: amazing performance of the show it's incredible, we enjoyed a lot, water aerobics, water polo and volleyball, they have much choice etc.., we have never miss night show and I promise you don't have to miss this, Names... JAMAL,KOMBO, HAMISI,JASMINE, FATMA, FATMA MPOLE and the other's I have forgot the names but all team are incredible Thanks very much for caring of us in our stay in baobab we will definitely come back next year Inshallah ..

Amazing resort which is massive, so big that if you book a deluxe suite you really need a golf buggy to get around but they don’t have any. Even with works going on to renovate areas it was still quiet with stunning views and secure ( security everywhere which made you feel very safe ) Great pools and staff and beach to die for. Only issue is like everywhere on dani beach is that you don’t get left alone by locals even when on private section of beach ?

After being told 4 weeks before arriving that there were “over running “ building works I was extremely concerned about overcrowding and noise and even considered changing hotels. We are very pleased we didn’t, the upgrade room was lovely, very large well equipped. The food was great with plenty of choice, could have been bit warmer but that is a problem in many hotels with buffet meals. We managed to get a place by the pool with shade without any problem. The staff are the real asset to the hotel they are all from the grounds staff to managers friendly and stop to talk and always ask if your having a good time holiday. I can’t name them all but Susan and Robinson were so welcoming and friendly.

A wonderful hotel with beautiful views and a large variety of wildlife. Sadly, although the beach looks stunning, it’s not really great for chilling or swimming which we found a bit disappointing but the hotel pools are great. We stayed at the Kure Kure site and found the pool entertainment a bit too noisy for us so wandered over to use the pools at the Maridadi most days. The rooms are well equipped with great facilities and very comfy beds. They’re air conditioned but although there’s a mosquito screen on the terrace/balcony doors there are no proper nets over the beds. The buffet provides lots of choice and caters for most tastes and the restaurant staff are lovely, especially Susan who has the knack of recognising every guest as she welcomes them to the restaurant. Lots of the staff were so helpful in pointing out the different animals - Sykes monkeys (which can cause havoc!), the endangered colobus monkeys, hornbills, lizards, frogs… In fact, it’s the staff that really make this place, working so hard to make sure the guests really do have the best experience.

I have a great stay here:) I love this resort I love people working here - specially thanks for Gimtone- you make our holidays special ❤️ I enjoyed my every moment here and I definitely want to come back:) I loved breakfast the most and my morning coffee with best view ever.
