Reasonable room rate. Stay and play is worth it. You get $40 worth of free ****** play and $30 to use at Mangoes, (food was great ) for an extra $25. Free coffee at the coffee bar in the morning. Added security as you need your room key to use the elevator. Hotel room door rings if left open. Make sure you’re an ocean club member as seniors get some added perks and discounts. No complaints, staff, room, check in were all top notch.

Hotel staff were super friendly and great! Stayed with family for 2 nights in a junior suite room was clean as always never have any issues with our rooms. Have been staying there since you guys have opened a couple times a year with my family, I know alot of the staff. We've never had an issue with any of them until this visit. We couldn't get our favorite server cher as she was taking care of a really big party totally understandable however we got a younger waitress who quite frankly is just there for a paycheque! My mother asked for a water with lemon she brought all our drinks my mom asked if she could grab her lemon when she came back around yeppppp. Gave us our food and never came around to see how anything was ask for drink refills nothing. Acted the same to the table next to us as well spilled a customers drink and was super short with them as well. The manager came and apologized the next day as we asked not to have her cause she was rude the Day before. She was a taller younger staff. I think these young girls need to realize we are the people contributing to their paycheques and maybe should be polite to their customers.

Six of us went to the resort Friday March 1st with friends for a birthday celebration. One of our party met with the hostess in the Blue Dolphin. She made a table reservation at 5:45 PM. Finally around 7:45 PM we were led to believe we had a table. NO WAY ! The hostess told us another employee gave away our table. What the hell is the point of having a hostess with a tablet (waiting list) who has no control and is useless ??? Same thing at 8:30 PM ... she said there was at least a table for 4 and another one far away for 2. What good is that? UH OH ! The table for 2 was given away also! I'll never eat there again. INCOMPETENCE. We even talked to the manager ... an apology but NO SOLUTION. Total s... show !!

My husband and I had previously enjoyed the buffets at Mangoes restaurant now called The Palms. We hadn't been for a few years due to Covid. It was our anniversary and we wanted a special dinner. Sadly, we were very disappointed with the food, the service and the cost. $70.00 for a horrible salad bar, burnt spareribs, tasteless perogies, and mediocre other side dishes. The prime rib however was very good. We are seniors and were really looking forward to a meal out. The dessert bar was also disappointing as there were too many flies on the sweets. We will not be returning!

What a horrible experience my wife and I had this past weekend (Feb 25/23). Kids running in the hall, slamming doors, and yelling to each other until nearly 2 AM. A woman pounding on our door just past 11:30 PM looking for someone else. Absolutely miserable housekeeping supervisor. Her face would have cracked if she had attempted to smile. No good evening or hello or anything. Just a disgusted staredown when walking past her. No microwave in the room. No extra pillow. An ironing board but no iron. The food in the restaurant has taken a huge hit as well. Limited buffet selections and GROSSLY overpriced. We didn't even stay for the breakfast buffet, and regular breakfast wasn't available. We've stayed at South Beach about 10 times before, but we will never go back after this wasted weekend.

We were booked in for my 60th birthday. The resort upgraded us to a king suite with hottub. They also left a personalized birthday card and lovely gifts for me! Great service all around, the room, the restaurants and the entertainment was 5 star! Thank you South Beach staff and management for going the extra mile! Highly recommend this Hotel as we visit it often!

This hotel is well managed, clean, friendly staff, great food and drinks. Restaurant and lounge are enjoyable. Many slots to play and have fun. Get $10 to play on your bday month. Earn points playing to cash in and play more. 50 plus club save 20% on food and gift shop. They have stay and play packages. We enjoy the day at grand beach then check in, relax, eat, play stay night and go back to beach then home. A good getaway have some fun. The rooms and bedding are great, good sleep always. Have suites also. Close to home. Affordable also.

Our first time staying in hotel even though we go to the South Beach facility a few times a year. Room was more than we expected. Nicely furnished with counter for TV and fridge, desk with chair , side tables, king size bed and one easy chair. One more easy chair would have been nice. The bed was very comfortable though too hugh for me being vertically challenged. This happens in most modern hotels. Immaculately clean, roomy. Bathroom would easily accommodate mobility aids/ wc. Staff at desk, at entrance and cleaning person very pleasant and helpfull. Price is reasonable. Cost of buffet and menu meals have increased significantly since we had last been there. 8 people at our table...all enjoyed our chouce from the menu in Mangos. We were disappointed as we.planned to have dinner in the bar area however told they could not accommodate 8 people to a table.

The last two times we have stayed our room is never ready at check in time. We showed up at 4:15 was told our room wasn’t ready yet. They took our phone number and said they would call when it was ready. My husband called back at 5 and they said oh we switched you to a different room that was cleaned already but nobody called to tell us. When we got up to our room we realized we didn’t get the room we had booked but we were told we must have misunderstood as they never had us booked for the other room. Sunday morning tried to go for breakfast and we were told it was buffet only if you wanted items off the menu you would have to get room service. So we ended up checking out early and going somewhere else for breakfast. When we were checking out the girl asked how our stay was and when we said not very good all she said was sorry to hear that. I have sent an email regarding our stay over 2 weeks ago and still have not heard anything back. Definitely won’t be recommending this hotel and will spend our money elsewhere in the future
