The location is not far from attractions such as Durdle Rock and is on the side of the highway. The hotel must have a lot of history, and it has a unique feel when you stay there. There is a restaurant downstairs, and the breakfast is pretty good (but it took a long time to wait).

We stayed at their campsite for three nights in august and our stay was absolutely lovely, close to the beach, monkey world and the military museum are both very close to the red lion, so there's plenty to keep the kids happy. We also had a couple of meals at the red lion and these were pretty good too, the staff are very helpful and friendly as well. This was are was our second visit this year and I'm pretty sure it won't be our last, fantastic place to be and we can't wait to go back.

We’ve just returned from 3 nights camping at The Red Lion. Absolutely brilliant location with lots to do within a short drive. Lovely pub, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lizzie and her team were so helpful and friendly. The campsite was quiet and we felt safe allowing our daughter to mingle and socialise with other children staying. Would highly recommend!

A very warm welcome, greeted by very friendly staff. The room radiator wasn't working but it was fixed within a few minutes. Excellent breakfast in very comfortable surroundings. Perfect location for Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove etc. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

On our way back from Durdle Door we came across the Red Lion. So glad we did because we had a fabulous time at the Red Lion, really great food, very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely going to return if ever in Dorset again! Hope you got some sweets out of the Piñata !

Very clicky pub went in there for 1 night as it was the closest pub to where we was staying *after a long drive and were not familiar with the area* they rush you to finish your drink bang on 10pm but don't tell you that you have to leave them when they ask you to leave them or order them *when they want to close and we're unaware of closing time in that pub*yday we went back for a 2nd visit on way home only to get a quick drink *we was then sent to sit at a table and given menus *although we had eaten 3 hours before and not hungry again* then some1 saying if we're not eating can we move...ordered food just to stay seated and it was cold sauce on the chicken wings and charged £8 for a salad which had nothing but lettuce and cartons in a bowl...asked for a d9g treat as we left ours in car to which you get 1 bit stingy..won't be going back f8r food that's for sure and also because if your not a local it seems they don't want to be too nice...its rushing people to pay up,force them to a table and menu and shoved out the door - not the best

We camped for one night at the Red Lion and would highly recommend it. A lovely campsite would good facilities and lots of space and we really enjoyed our evening in the pub. Luckily we picked a Friday night with the pub quiz on, which despite being very mediocre at we really enjoyed. The food was delicious, the bar staff and owner were really friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return!

THE RED LION - THE WELCOME , WE WERE SHOWN OUR ROOMS GIVEN OUR KEYS & LEFT TO IT. I FOUND THE WAY FROM THE ROOM TO THE DOWNSTAIRS BAR & RESTAURANT A LITTLE CONFUSING THE FIRST TIME OF USING. WE SAT IN THE BAR WAITING FOR THE REST OF OUR PARTY, WHEN THEY ARRIVED THE STAFF WERE A GREAT HELP WITH MY SON - IN - LAW WHO HAS BREATHING PROBLEMS. HIS EQUIPMENT WAS INSTALLED IN THEIR ROOM & WE ALL MET LATER FOR DINNER. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. AS WE GOT TO KNOW THE STAFF OVER THE WEEKEND WE HAD A LOT OF LAUGHS & JOKES. I DONT DRINK BUT MY SON & SON - IN - LAW SAID THAT THE BEER WAS QUITE GOOD ( ENGLISH UNDERSTATEMENT ) ALL ROUND, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. ONE THING THAT I DID NOTICE WAS THAT WHERE THE RED LION COULD NOT HELP WITH SOMEONES WANTS THEY WERE NOT AVERSE TO RECOMMENDING OTHER VENUES NEARBY. ( A 5 MILE RADIUS )

This is our third time staying on their campsite in campervan. Food in the pub was excellent but you must have an healthy appetite as the portions are very generous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bonus is free bacon/egg muffin for breakfast if camping. Definitely will be returning again.
