Travelodge Dumfries

Had a fantastic experience on my stay. The manager, Paul was so helpful. The room was spotless. I would recommend staying here anytime 😊

Friendly staff and clean and comfortable beds and bathroom tidy. Was asked at check in if we needed anything extra, staff were accommodating. The hotel was perfect for an overnight stop as we headed on our journey. Easy to find and a couple of handy Starbucks and Greggs close by.

Pleasant welcome upon arrival. The room, cleaned by Larissa, was spotless, and three beds had been made up for us - we were expecting to have to pull out a sofa bed. However, the non-slip mat in the bath seemed more slippery than if it hadn’t been there, and the car park had quite a few potholes. Otherwise, it was a comfortable, quiet stay. We would stay here again.

New staff, we met as strangers and left as friends. As usual we were welcomed warmly each member of staff went out of their way to help my wife as she is in a wheelchair.

The room was prepared by Louise and was clean, well equipped, and tidy. The location was convenient for us and the road noise was manageable. Toiletries, towels, bathroom items all present and in good working order. Lack of enough sockets was a bit of an issue but we managed. The building is somewhat dated hence the 4/5 rating.

Thank you for a nice stay. My partner and I stopped off here before continuing our travels up north. It was pleasant, clean rooms and nice and quiet. We would like to say a massive thank you to your staff member Jessica too for being so lovely, polite and accommodating by helping us down the stairs and out to reception with our bags and suitcases. She chatted to us the entire time and was full of laughter and smiles which really set us up for our morning

Dumfries is one of the older Travelodges - so there’s nothing but bedrooms, but there’s a Greggs, a Starbucks and a petrol station in the car park, so there’s no shortage of facilities. It’s a little way out of the town itself, far enough that you will have to drive in, rather than walk, and Dumfries itself is looking rather sad - though we had a fabulous meal at Home Restaurant - definitely worth trying. The Travelodge itself is clean and well-equipped, but like most of the older ones, there’s a lack of electrical sockets for charging; it’s worth bringing a multi-charger. The staff were welcoming and helpful. All in all, a predictable stay - but there’s absolutely nothing wrong in that. Recommended

Great location for our visit. Really friendly and helpful receptionist that checked us in. Requested a ground floor room due to mobility issues which was all arranged and ready for our arrival, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel and our room were clean and tidy. Really good value. Can’t fault anything! See you again next time we visit.
