"We have just returned home from a fabulous couple of days spent with friends in this friendly, comfortable, luxury hotel. A blazing fire in the lounge snd breakfast/dining room. Angus the “host with the most” and his team were friendly efficient and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Drinks in the lounge in front of the fire…pure bliss! Angus, a proficient virtuoso, was a delightful host and made us feel welcome and comfortable in his domain. Large bedroom with king size bed and a sun room area overlooking the gardens. Sit and relax on the well positioned sofa, enjoy the view and read, chat and enjoy a tea/coffee."

"Had a one night stay and it was excellent. A 10 minute walk into the centre where there is a wide choice of bars/restaurants. Our room was lovely, clean and the bathroom was huge. Full cooked breakfast to start the day, and Terry kept us entertained and provided some things to do. We did the electric brae, very weird."

He was not satisfied with the two room arrangements. The first time was a side room with only half a large window. The second time was a smaller room after communication with Ctrip. The suitcase was opened and there was nowhere to put it. 😭 The advantage is that the breakfast is Scottish 😌."

"Advertised as “Dogs free of charge “ on **********. We drove 30 miles out of the way and we’re told we had to pay for the dog. When I showed him his website he just ignored me and said I had to pay or couldn’t stay. Also advertised as “ free off road parking” when we arrived I was told to use the train station car park and pay. He was rude and arrogant ! The place was filthy and there was a really noisy bar next door with people out on the street shouting and music blaring out. We walked out and drove to days inn which is lovely. Best advice I can give is take heed of the other reviews ( which are not fake!) and avoid at all costs. This hotel should be struck off and I will be taking issue with trading standards and ********** on my return !! Just to add that by the time we got to another hotel he had changed the website…… unlucky because I took at screenshot when I was at his check in ;)"
