There was 4 adults and one wee nipper in pram. Like stepping back in time. Pretty basic inside but a warm welcome from bar staff. Lounge was clean enough and quiet when we went in. Bar staff put footie on TV with background music so family catered for. Range of beers and prices reasonable. Food was great - decent portions and very tasty. Got a discount - thanks. Although we do not live there will be back for a meal. Especially if offering discounts in coming weeks.

Stayed here on 1st June for the very first time. Building and grounds definitely need some work from outside and I would have scored less but the amazing friendly team and very clean rooms made up for this. As a regular user of Travelodge (and also other hotels) I urge the company to invest in this one. Located slightly out the city in among residential streets means very quiet and no traffic/people noise. Would stay again but prefer the building and rooms in Dundee Centre one.

Stayed here for a college reunion in the city. Upon arrival the reception staff greeted us in a very friendly and relaxed manner. Our room was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable too. The only fault which isn’t the hotel’s is that the walls are very paper thin. About midnight/1am a couple in the adjoining room from us were having a dispute, and it lasted for half an hour. My friend and I felt like we were children listening to our parents fight while we were in bed. Despite that, we had a really goodnight sleep and breakfast was very good, with staff being very attentive.

We stayed for two nights, ate at the hotel on the 2nd evening and enjoyed the food and service. Staff are very helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. We did not have the breakfast. Used the gym which was very well-provisioned. There is ample parking on site for£5/night. Would certainly return to the Apex and recommend to others

From the minute I drove in the car park, the design and style was out of this world. Every single member of the staff had a genuine presence, from something as simple as a smile! Room was very stylish, possibly a little dark but I had no issues sleeping which is a bonus. Dinner in the restaurant was great, a local beer went down a treat. Food was very well presented and freshly cooked. Couldn't fault a thing, will bring my wife for a trip sometime and stay for longer.

A converted jute mill is the location for this fabulous hotel & suites. You are greeted by a great ambience and friendly staff. The suite was spacious and well-equipped. The kitchen area was spotless and certainly would enable one to cater for themselves. The bathroom, again spacious, had the best shower.
A comfy bed gave a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a self service affair. The breakfast seating area was light and inviting. Food was tasty and constantly replenished, and the variety of hot drinks was impressive. It was a buffet style but fitted our leisurely approach to the day.
The only fly in the ointment was the parking. There is very limited parking for the hotel (for which you would be charged £12.50) or a short walk away there is local authority run car park which at the pay and display you can pay to park -we paid £6.60, expertly explained by Holly at reception, it maybe needs to be made more clear on the website for clarity.

Where else to stay in St Andrews than in a room over looking the Old Course? There is little to fault about the hotel. Great, spacious, well appointed room. Excellent breakfast and all the associated things you need in a 5 star hotel. Topped off with an amazing whisky selection in the Road Hole bar overlooking the course. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it, and they were super accommodating and understanding when we needed to change our reservation from May to September at very short notice.

The hotel is not big, the location is just across the road from the old campus of St. Andrews University, very close to the commercial street and not far from the old stadium. The breakfast can be said to be relatively rich, there are several kinds of regular meals, and special, which changes with the seasons. The restaurant is almost full on weekends when there is a lot of people, and it is usually better. On-street parking outside the door is free but there is no private parking lot. It is easy to have a place during school holidays. I don’t know at other times.

GGuest UserGreat find in Dundee. Amazing location - right above the train station and opposite the V&A. Bit of noise of boy racers at night, but not for long. The room was big with everything you could need. Breakfast was the cheapest I've ever seen in a hotel and the restaurant was really nicely done. Hubby had a meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. No parking at hotel, but a multi storey 5 minutes walk away that was very reasonable with the 25% discount you get through the hotel (£13 for 2 nights).

GGuest UserThe hotel is a little dated with worn, bobbled carpets and some of the bathroom and leisure facilities probably need a bit of re-grouting. The room we were in was a little stale but after opening the window and supplied a fan, things got better.
However, bed was super comfy my and size of room perfect!
Location was perfect although when we visited there were significant roadworks which meant we had to detour.
Overall though, we got a decent price and it so value for money
GGuest UserMalmaison was a lovely place to stay with great reception staff and even an better bar team however due to the nature of the building there was a lot of outside noise. Together with noisy people in the hotel it made for a rather disturbed night. There is no parking for the hotel either so that is another reason for the 4/5 mark.
We have often gone to The Woodlands for a meal which is always lovely. But, last night, we had booked The Library for my mother’s 90th birthday and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. It’s a lovely intimate room (24 people) which is ideal for a get together like this. And, although there was a wedding in the ballroom, we were served promptly and efficiently by a good number of staff. We were helped setting up the room before people arrived and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thank you again Woodlands for making it a special night.
GGuest UserWe met Eddie the night porter we had such a laugh with him a Scottish man who lived in Dublin then dubai and back to dubai very funny man and a apleasure to talk to he left us a note the next morning after our chats with recommendations of where to eat
