The room facilities are relatively old, but overall it is clean, especially the free parking is a great deal. The Italian restaurant in the hotel courtyard is highly recommended. Their pizza and seafood pasta taste great!

Arrived early, so left our cases in a room behind reception, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We booked for 2 nights, we were put in the annexe furthest away from the main building, up a hill, no lift in the building and it was all a little tired looking. The room was a basic Travelodge room, decent size, but not particularly clean. Again it was very dated with ripped chairs and several TV channels not working. The TV control had not been cleaned for some time. The same as the bathroom, which is in dire need of a refurb / deep clean. Walking to Durham was about 10 minutes downhill, we took a taxi back.
