SpringHill Suites East Lansing University Area

The hotel accommodations were fine. I'm writing because we left 2 items at the hotel and called immediately that evening and the manager (K Stephens) said she would mail them back and we gave her our credit card information to pay for shipping. Fast forward 2 MONTHS and we can't get her on the phone or an email to let us know where our items are! Its like they want to keep them and sell them to get money (airpods/laptop cord). Otherwise, it is baffling why she won't respond to our voice messages and emails. Even the front desk worker has tried for us. SO now I have to get on Social Media to see if I can get a response that way. Disappointing - just let us know what is going on!

Poor customer service, confirmed reservation cancelled without prior notice. Staff lacks training. Poor management follow up and poor communication. Lousy property. Avoid at any cost. Tricking guests to pay for 2 nights when staying one night only.

I stay here frequently on business. I always come back because of the great staff. Shana and TIffany in the breakfast area are always extremely pleasant and deliver great service. Taliah at the front desk is awesome and anticipates my arrival. I’ve also noticed that other staff are friendly too. It’s obvious that management and staff believe in treating their guests very well and it doesn’t go unnoticed!

Hotel is fine - clean, rooms are well appointed, large bathroom, typical Springhill Suites. Checkin was easy and front desk staff friendly. However the windows do not keep out any noise. I can hear someone coughing in the parking lot as I write this on the 4th floor. My daughter who can sleep through anything was unable to sleep here - a problem we’ve never had even in large cities. The HVAC system does not offer a constant fan setting for white noise. There’s general noise … cars, horns, car alarms Train tracks are nearby and the trains whistles each time they pass. I’m not sure how many times it came in the night but I know there was one around 11, two between 3 and 4 AM and some others. Somewhere in the night, the trash was picked up. Dumpsters banging, truck making the backup beeping sound. I assume it was picking up surrounding businesses as well because it went on for a long time. It’s possible that rooms on the back of the hotel may be quieter, I’m overlooking the parking lot. And I assume trash doesn’t get picked up every night so that won’t impact everyone,

Great clean hotel close to campus. This is the same layout as newer Springhill Suites with a nice modern bathroom and a spacious room. Good location - close to Michigan state campus. The staff were all very nice, especially Kierra who was very helpful & friendly to all guests.

Great hotel to stay at if you're going to be at Michigan State. We stayed there when we were taking a campus tour. Close to campus and easy to get to. The hotel was clean and nice. We felt safe. Easy parking in a free lot.
