The hotel is right next to the gate of Holyrood Palace. Through the window, you can see the pointed tower of the palace, full of historical sense. The room is very comfortable and it is very happy to make breakfast by yourself. The hotel is 20 to 30 minutes away from other attractions and the city center, which is not very convenient. There is no sign of the hotel, which is a bit difficult to find. There is no front desk and no service staff. Absolutely fantastic flat! We had a bit of a snafu checking in but Grant showed up in a jiffy and couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The flat has all the amenities we wanted: refrigerator, kettle, oven, espresso machine, plus all the others expected in an hotel, and was spacious and comfortable. The light switches are a bit confusing (several turn on whenever the front door is opened, which woke up my son a couple of times) but easy enough to deal with. To the staff: more bed pillows would be lovely! The gardens in the back are lovely: peaceful, beautiful, in some places wild and in others, tidy. Really, really enjoyed walking through them and spying bees and butterflies and listening to the birds from the palace ground. The location is unreal: literally attached to Holyrood Palace grounds, across from Scottish Parliament, at the bottom of the Royal Mile, and a ten minute walk to Arthur’s Seat. Would absolutely stay here again.

Easy walk home down slope from city center. Perfect place for Uber drop off and pick up. Comfy bed, and seating. Kitchen had enough. Temp easy to regulate. Hop on off bus stop right out front along with city bus. Super safe for a single woman or lbgtq even at night. Nice views from apt. Lots to do w/I a one block radius. No lift may be an issue for some. But overall great location and stay!

clean bright modern, Such a cozy apt, I'd come back. Its a lovely walk at the end of the Royal Mile. Store, coffee, restaurants, close walking distance, bus stop and easy Uber pick up at door step. Nice views and quiet outside garden to enjoy.

Property itself excellent. Service communication needs work. ******* didn’t send the confirmation email the day before as stated. This should have enclosed access codes to property. Advised to down load both ******* and Cheval app - neither could provide missing information that was in absent email. Phone number in app and in property window went to voicemail. Helpful assistant on further telephone call guided us through access and forwarded email. Seamless service design is essential for good travel experience. Hope this can be improved for next customers as the property and location was excellent

Wonderful apartment, close proximity to Royal Mile but far enough away from busy, tourist section. Would definitely stay again. Parking is a little bit of a challenge but when you contact the concierge, recommended Dynamic Earth car park, only 5 mins walk.

Excellent accommodation. We had a very relaxing time. The place was spotless and the beds offered an excellent sleeping experience. The location is close to a wonderful beauty spot but you are only a foot walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Cheval exceeded our expectations! It was clean, quiet, large, comfortable, and recently renovated. There is a lot to do nearby and everything is walkable. However, it is at the end of the Royal Mile at the bottom of a gentle hill. The good thing is it provides a peaceful night's sleep. The not-so-good thing is that is at one end of the town so you have to walk towards the center of town to do everything.
