Het is een prachtig oud gebouw, op een mooie locatie, maar binnen is het een modern sfeervol hotel waar je van alle gemakken bent voorzien. De kamers zijn luxe met een heerlijk zitje en voorzien kitchenette. De bedden zijn heerlijk en er is een mooie badkamer. Het ontbijt is prima verzorg en er is voor elk wat wils. We zullen hier zeker terug komen, maar willen dan wel een kamer aan de achterkant van het hotel. De weg waar het hotel aan ligt geeft behoorlijk wat lawaai als je met open raam wil slapen en je een kamer aan de voorkant hebt.

De kamer was netjes maar mistte de warme sfeer van de lobby en het restaurant. De douche was erg klein, de regendouche te groot waardoor een waterballet. De ruimte die de bank nodig had had ik liever bij de badkamer gezien. Het ontbreken van een tv bij het bed was erg jammer. We werden iedere ochtend wakker van gebakken eieren en spek, niet fijn. Daarnaast waren de kamers erg gehorig, de buren konden we bijna letterlijk verstaan. Dat geeft weinig gevoel van privacy. Het ontbijt was niet bijzonder en karig als je aan het einde van de ochtend komt. Het personeel was vriendelijk.

Fijn hotel! Goede sfeer, vriendelijk en jong personeel die er alles aan doen om het verblijf naar wens te maken. Mooie schone kamers. Super sfeervolle kerstversiering. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Voor herhaling vatbaar ook al woon je in de omgeving.

Een heel fijn hotel, gemakkelijk bereikbaar maar zonder geluidsoverlast van verkeer, prettige en vriendelijke mensen, de kamer (met infrarood sauna) geweldig, alles lekker ruim en een mooie tuin om ook van te genieten - helaas niet niet deze keer want het was hondenweer.

Even better than last time
It was our second time staying at De Kastanjefabriek. Last time was with COVID in full swing, now we could really enjoy the tasty breakfast. Dinner locations are plenty in Eibergen, same with walking and bicycling trails. Excellent and quiet location.
One small note for others: unless you hang the sign for "cleaning please" on your door, your room won't be touched by the staff. This wasn't mentioned to us when we checked in. On the second day we ended up asking for fresh towels at 6PM at the reception...
