It has a kitchen. But the faucet for the shower need some repair. Also heater was always cold when I stayed.

The apartment is in the same building with a hiking outfitters store. Which is very convenient if you want to buy supplies or book a hike. Since they close in the afternoon, there were no issues with loud people or traffic. Everything is within walking distance, you really don't need a car. The apartment is very new and modern, supplied with all amenities.

Great location in the center of El Chaltén with views of Fitz Roy's tip right from our window. We used the full kitchen to prepare coffee/breakfast before heading out each morning, and the spacious front room to spread and organize all our gear. Comfortable bed and good shower. We had a rental car, but with most trailheads and restaurants walkable from right from the apartment, it wasn't even necessary.

El Chantel is a small place for trekking lovers, it is difficult not to feel safe. The apartment is aesthetically nice, but the bathroom is really small, with the shower closed by an uncomfortable and not very functional half-panel of plexiglass and the bidet drain flooding the floor. Small kitchen but it does its job - given the many small restaurants we only used it for breakfast - but the appliances are not in very good condition and are a little rusty.
The 4 of us were a bit cramped because there is no space to put our luggage on the floor and there are no wardrobes, just a small chest of drawers; at least some coat hangers would be needed, to hang some clothes we had to stretch a mountaineering rope between a window and a door

We had a great experience at Patagonia’s Apartments from check in to check out it was smooth and uneventful.
The units were clean and comfortable and a great location within the town. Would recommend
