Cypress Inn on Miramar Beach

Stayed here with my wife for our anniversary and I couldn’t have asked for much more. The room was wonderful and romantic with a view of the ocean, a fireplace, and an added happy hour. Really great place and I will be back!

Loved this place!. There were cheese and meat assortments when we arrived at night and then freshly baked cookies later in the night. We got a room with a balcony overlooking the water and it was beautiful to wake up to and the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal, we loved the assortments of tea they offered. The beach is a short walk as well, but not many food options around unless you like Taco Bell or subpar Mexican food. The bathroom was very clean, and it was nice that they offered robes as well. The coffee set up they had in the room was nice for hot teas, but the creamers in the packets had gon bad and so coffee wasn’t a great option. Staff were extremely sweet and helpful, they definitely made it a good experience!

Rooms is very comfortable nice and cozy with a gorgeous view of the ocean and beach with a walking path will be back in the summer

The view was great and the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore was amazing. Also the restaurant was within walking distance to our room which was convenient.

What a wonderful stay for our anniversary. Loved the ocean right outside our door. Rooms in the main building are a bit small and wish there was a bathtub, but the ocean balcony makes up for it all. Incredible staff and the evening reception is hearty. Breakfast is also great and to order. My husband enjoyed crab cake Benedict and blueberry pancakes!!

Excellent stay!

We love spending time in Half Moon Bay and especially love staying at Cypress Inn. LOVE the recent bathroom remodel! Hearing the waves crash all night is a HUGE plus!

Pros: Very good location. Cross a 10 foot wide trail and you're at an uncrowded beach. While I have seen kids, it seems to mostly cater to couples. The Miramar Beach restaurant is within 100 yards and it's got good food with great ocean views. Excellent service. This is a small hotel. In the main building, I think that there are only about 5 rooms. It's very easy to reach the front desk. They have books but feel free to drop off a book. All the rooms come with a private balcony although you might have someone a few feet away at the next balcony. The balcony has a small table and chairs so you can have your appetizers and breakfast there. Spring for an ocean view room on the second (top) floor. While you will pay more, you have a better view and you won't have bikes and people walking by in front of you as you would on the first (ground) floor. Bring your bike - you can ride several miles from the hotel as the Coastal Trail is right in front of the hotel. Bike rentals are also available but that's a couple of miles away. Excellent breakfast. You fill in a form the night before with your choices and can have breakfast delivered to your room or available in the common area. Great happy hour and cookies in the evening. Free parking and spots are wide enough for bigger cars. Cons: Shower only, no tub at least in the room that we were staying There's a foghorn that goes off every 20m or so. It's not very loud but I did notice it. When we closed the balcony door, I couldn't hear it any more. No fridge or microwave but there is a safe.

Right at the ocean, rooms are updated, quiet, very clean, and the hotel-supplied food is excellent; especially the full breakfast.
