So nice to stay in this lovely hotel for two nights!! It gave us unforgettable moment ever in my life. The location of this hotel is very near the town and everything is great, especially the pool!!

Many mosquitos in the room. not so many varieties of food for breakfast buffet. The espresso cappucino is not that good. the room pool view is small. I think the color of funny lion theme is dark black so it looks gloomy and small it attracts insects But., i love the free access to papaya beach and free fresh juices and tote bag handkerchiefs. Service staff are so friendly.

This place went above and beyond for my family when we stayed at El Nido - The Funny Lion (June 26 - July 3). The staff are very friendly and professional. Their Customer service is 10/10. When you ask for something, they give it right away. The Manager was really kind and helpful especially to my 2 yr old daughter, Valerie. I am thankful and grateful for the team at El Nido - The Funny Lion.
There are a few suggestions for improvements I would like to add: Better drainage system for shower. It always seems like the water would go out of the shower especially when it’s raining outside. Also, an elevator would be great for the guest and especially for the staff when carrying heavy luggages. The wifi spotty and could also be improved especially inside the breakfast area. A better mosquito control on the outside near the pool/restaurant area would be nice too. The people on the backyard would burn their trashes and the smoke would fill the whole air of the hotel area and would not be healthy to breathe in (I wish they wouldn’t burn right next to the hotel). This is probably nitpicking but sometimes the music that plays at the bar/restaurant area is not family friendly and uses profanity. The rooms could use a bit of feng shui or something to make it feel more spacious. The room lighting could also be improved (it always seems a little dark even with all the lights turned on).

The location is basically town square, with delicious restaurants. Then you can walk to the beach, which doesn't feel as crowded and noisy as the town center.
The hotel breakfast is just so-so, and there is not even coffee.
The room soundproofing is not very good, and it was a bit noisy at night when we were on the road. The internal environment is also quite satisfactory, and freshly squeezed juice is provided in the room refrigerator.
The hotel service is very good, and we responded to any needs in a timely manner, such as booking tours and cars. The front desk will remember your name and greet you every time they see you, and the security guards seem to have multiple jobs and can help you recruit tuk-tuks.

we stayed 2 nights and it was lovely. the staff were so nice we really had a good time there. highly recommend the romantic dinner at rooftop with the sunset.

I had previously stayed at the Funny Lion on Coron, so I chose the same hotel without hesitation. And when I arrived in El Nido, I was upset. The hotel area is very small, in general it’s not scary, because the ocean is five minutes away. What's really bad is the location next to the road. You can hear it very much, especially when you sleep. The room is quite spacious and clean, but with ants. It is extremely rare for me to now see that bed linen is washed in a hotel with powder containing fragrances. For some reason this was the case here. I'm allergic to chemicals, I couldn't sleep. I had to lay out my things and lie down on them so as not to smell the powder. The price of the hotel is quite expensive, even unreasonably expensive. Yes, the staff is very nice, they always call you by name and are friendly. They get 5 points. Otherwise 3.5. I hope that the hotel managers will read my review and either change the pricing policy; here the price clearly needs to be reduced by 40-50%. Or they will carry out certain improvements. So far Funny Lion is on the Corona benchmark.
