Could not find reservation. Wouldn’t let us do a late check out. No soap, or lotion in rooms had to go down stairs and they would only give 1 ea. Door would not stay locked had to use deadbolt.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Thunderbird. As an older, less expensive motel downtown, I was expecting it to be pretty run-down and basic. Instead, the room had been updated with a large flat-screen TV and the nicest refrigerator-freezer I have had in any hotel. The freezers are usually too tiny to be of any use, but not in this case.
The room also had a table and chairs and a desk. The reservation listed a continental breakfast, which usually means cold packaged muffins and milk or juice. I was again surprised to see that they offered more, including a waffle maker. I would definitely stay there again.

Check in was swift, staff was nice (somewhat timid), free breakfast was typical, but good. The room was as clean as expected, but there was no properly working dispenser in the shower (there was shampoo but no conditioner and no soap offered). If we didn't have our own, we would have ended up having to buy from a store.
For a one-night stay, it was okay. We got some good sleep.
