As a couple, we have stayed in hotels from Australia to the Americas, literally all continents except the Antarctic. In none of those places has the beauty of the location made the breath catch in our chest with the sheer beauty of the Saronic Gulf laid out before us. This was just the start. From the owner, Kostas, to all members of the staff, including Γιασεμί, (Yiasemi; the resident, gorgeous cat), the highest standards of hospitality, attention to detail, and professional excellence were maintained consistently and uniformly. EVERYTHING about this hotel is special. Don't go there, you won't like it! Seriously though, it will spoil you for every other hotel, as none of them will be able to match it. If you want to get out and about, a car is essential (as it is in most of Greece). The Argolid peninsula is full of interesting places to go and things to see, but you may find that you are loathe to leave the Yialasi at all. The breakfasts are superb with freshly squeezed orange juice from the groves around the hotel; lunches delicious and fresh, and the dinners were fabulous. The gardens, terraces, plants and trees, paths, and environs of the hotel are all top-notch; beautifully thought out, and maintained. The infinity swimming pool is lovely, and you can do gentle lengths, however I can almost guarantee that you'll also spend time at the infinity edge, just looking at the view. Chairs, tables, and recliners are set beside the pool, on the main terrace, by the grassy lawn (would that our grass grew so well!) and on various garden terraces above the pool, shaded by trees, and canvas covers. All with superb views. There is also a hammock to be found for the ultimate snooze. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well appointed, and have variations on the amazing views. Personally speaking we liked to wake up to the glorious sunrise, so didn't shut the shutter except on the first night. The glass inner doors lock for security anyway! I cannot recommend the Yialasi highly enough, so don't go there ever; leave it to us to bear the burden of the best hotel we've stayed in - please!
