Breakfast is fabulous fresh and eggs and croissants made perfect on the spot. Only thing is need more fruit no fruit. No gym ? Too cold to swim. Cosy room too small.

I stay here regularly & I’m never disappointed. Great staff, very comfortable! Look forward to coming back!!

Reception excellent. Room comfortable, clean good. Bar good Restaurant, poor, wait for over an hour for hors d'ovuvre. Hard working staff but only 20 covers so why the wait? Also staff very busy?? No visible sign of looking to see if customers need assistance. Rating 1

Overnight stay in this lovely hotel . Staff very helpful Toby on reception managed to find us a car parking space even though I’d forgotten to book . Great delux double room Breakfast was delightful , nice selection Helen the waitress was so thoughtful and friendly We will be back Thank you

Very rude restaurant manager on a Sunday evening. Food quality was very poor that evening, and there was only one ( overworked) waitress. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very nice. We had booked the Sunday room rate which we thought was a good deal price wise. Part of the deal is that you spend a certain amount in the restaurant. I wouldn’t bother again as it felt like they just don’t bother on a Sunday evening. I have enjoyed nicer food elsewhere for half the price. The ‘profiterole’ was so tough it was inedible and clearly not freshly made. What a shame. We did complain and no one was bothered. I also wrote to head office and didn’t ever get a reply . Perhaps it was just an off day but be aware. There are other nicer places to eat just down the road

I had a massage in the spa, and it was excellent, the whole Spa experience was incredible and the pool is amazing too. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Then went into the Bar and Restaurant where the food was outstanding. Ibwoukd definitely recommend this beautiful Hotel in Exeter.

Stopped here for 1 night as a little treat for us both. 1st impressions count and it's a beautiful building. I knew that we wouldn't be able to park in the hotel car parking but we were able to stop and unload our bags and the public car park is very close by. Greeted by very friendly and efficient reception staff we were checked in quickly. Room was spotlessly clean and very smart. We spent a couple of hours in the pool reading then got ready to go out for the evening. Before heading out we enjoyed a couple well made cocktails in the bar. The barman was very pleasant and good at his job. When we returned we had a nice got chocolate to wind down. All in all a great hotel with fantastic staff. We will be staying again when next in Exeter

Very unfortunate that we stayed at the hotel the day of a wedding, we waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive with our dinner in the restaurant and service in general that evening was extremely slow, the drinks were removed from the tab however which was obviously an attempt to compensate us (which was greatly appreciated) many customers in the restaurant that evening were unpleased at the wait times, and the restaurant team were visible stressed and it was almost unsettling to watch, it is not good business to let service slump due to a wedding being held, as a hotel you should be aware that you are facilitating normal guests and a restaurant and a wedding, perhaps more staff to ease the load and make sure things are still served in a timely manner or close the restaurant when weddings are held so you can actually cope with the work load, aside from this the stay was very nice and the staff as a whole were very attentive and polite, the reception team were fantastic apart from one blonde female (of which there are 2 but I refer to the slightly older one) who come across extremely short when booking us into our suite for the night, 0 eye contact when talking to me, perhaps I only noticed it so much because it was night/day compared to the customer service given by all the other members of staff we interacted with, our suite was very nice however and as a whole I would recommended the hotel as I can tell ordinarily it wouldn’t fall short of expectations
