The hotel is very old, the facilities are average, and the elevators have a sense of age. I am probably much older than me. It is on the seaside, and the scenery is unparalleled. Drinking coffee and looking at the sea in front of the hotel is a good place to go on vacation.

Take a public bike and discover the beach up to Swanpool or walk on the coast path to the beaches. The hotel is excellent situated to stroll to the beach or to the city or to the castle. Falmouth is full of history, shops and the restaurant hooked on the rock at the beachside Swanpool- rocks. The family room is spacious and the warm pool a nice swim after a freezing seaside dipp. Little drink stalls on wheels at the coastline like bubble tea, italian coffee or a ice cream - we love the british summer with all options.

The hotel overlooks the sea with an exceptionally clean environment. The rooms were beautifully laid out with good amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful!

The Hotel was amazing, I loved the staff they were all lovely, I loved the terrace lounge and restaurant very nicely decorated. The room was lovely with a sea view also the food was delicious, first class standard. The garden was lovely with all the hanging baskets with tables and chairs, such an amazing place would definitely go back again.

A lovely old fashioned type of hotel that has the old school little touches like a suited doorman and beautiful flowers around. Gorgeous view and nearer Gilly Beach than the town of Falmouth (though only a 20 min walk away so still accessible unless you’re not a walker!

If you have a good room your whole experience will be worth it as the staff look after you well and it’s a very clean hotel with stunning views. The little touches make it more special. But don’t go for a cheap room as it may spoil your experience!

Booked DB&B through Travelzoo which reduced the standard price considerably & gave us a bottle of house wine plus afternoon scone and cup of tea. The room was a little small although it and the whole hotel was very clean. Lovely position and views from the front. The dinner men didn't change daily (other than the soup) which is rather limiting if you are staying for several days. There is a bar menu as well but you cannot have items off that menu in the main restaurant. The tea we requested with breakfast was not piping hot but was very strong it had obviously been hanging around in the kitchen. Also the bread for the toast wasn't the best, rather limp. In other hotels of comparable price (even with the discounts it wasn't cheap) use sourdough for example. In my opinion a good hotel for a short break.

Dreadful slow service. Waited 50 minutes for my starter one evening. Told I was in a queue..No change of menu apart from soup of the day.No fresh vegetables. Had to pay for them separately.Lacj of personal space. Squashed in with three other tables. As we were guests for 6 nights the menu became extremely boring.The whole dining room was run for the convenience of the staff. We will not be back!
