The staff is friendly and the location is good. However the equipment in the room is basic, it doesn't have a chair in the room. The bathroom lacks a hanger for towels and clothes. Despite this, everything else bus good.

This hotel was brilliant. My friend and I came to celebrate her 44th and can I say the hotel is NOT full of students as some reviews have said, there all a huge range of demographics and nationalities. The hotel itself is so cute and well decorated. Very kitsch. The staff were SUPERB! I feel bad that I can’t remember their names but I do remember Francesca from reception. What a girl! She helped us get dinner reservations, what bars to go to and had a wicked humour! From the pool bar - Candi. So chatty and sweet! Breakfast was brilliant. Not sure what some people are complaining about? You’re not going to get a 100000 calorie American breakfast. This is Europe. We had scrabbled eggs on toast each morning. There are sausages and bacon if you want. The. We had some fruit and yogurt, followed by a pain au chocolate or a croissant and jam. I usually had a bread and cheese as well! More than enough to get you going. Lavazza coffee too. We went to go out in our first Friday and as we came down there was a DJ and a free bar with popcorn, pretzels, and crisps as the hotel is very inclusive and community focused. The hotel is also very environmentally aware so to read reviews about people moaning that their towels and bedding weren’t changed- please! Nobody and I mean nobody fainted their towels and sheets every day in our own houses. It’s once or twice a week. The damage to the environment and the increased costs to hotel rooms are as a direct result of people like YOU. My only little niggle was that there was a fabulous Nespresso machine but the coffee was not filled daily, however a quick call to reception and we had some brought to the room. We didn’t use the pool due to some bad weather and plans in the day but we sat up there having a drink and people had clearly been swimming so I don’t think that’s an issue either. The view from the pool bar is UNREAL. I literally mean it’s spectacular. They have games such as table tennis and fusball and swings in the entrance which my friend and I had a go on after a tipsy evening. I’m won’t talk about how amazing Florence is as a city as that’s a whole other review. But this hotel is fantastic as long as you’re fun and are open to a new experience

Three star hotel which does not deserve it. Accomodarion is just above the railway station and near the traffic tunel. Very noisy place. It looks like improvized space. Rooms are small, there is no space for luggage. Unless you want to follow trains time table do not open the windows. Beds in a double room are small like for children, elevator is spacious enough for two persons without any luggage. Staff at the reception speak poor English and they are useless to help you in any way. Breakfast is poor, only coffee is fine and yogurt. It reduces to this. In summary, unless you can not afford or find better hotel, reorganize your trip to Florence. I do not advise it even for one night stay.

Few minutes walk from the station past McDonald’s (exit the station from the left). Hotel is set back so can easily be missed. We had a room for three, one double bed and a low camp bed. Rooms made up everyday and towels changed frequently. Wardrobe with plenty of hangers, safe, complimentary water in fridge. I asked if we could have a kettle and this was no problem. Bathroom quite big, shower cubicle with toiletries. Lovely white, big bath towels. Great location for lots of great restaurants and only minutes away from attractions. Rooms are quite warm but there is air con. Breakfast consists of yogurts, fresh fruit, breads, croissants, scrambled eggs and great coffee. Hotel staff are so helpful, even printed out our tickets for one of our trips. Would stay there again, next time exit the train station from the left!

I loved this quirky old hotel. It is old fashioned in the best possible sense; very well situated close to the train station, the Duomo and the centre of Florence - so a perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms could do with some refurbishment but are air conditioned, kept very clean, and everything works. Doubles are generous in size, single rooms are small. Breakfast is continental with cheese, ham, muesli, croissants, cake, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and detox water. Most importantly, the staff here were unfailingly courteous and helpful. They really could not do enough for us, from letting me borrow an adapter, to recommending excursions, booking taxis, and accommodating a late check out. There are trendier, more modern hotels in the area, but that is reflected in the price - you get what you pay for.

A fabulous hotel, from the excellent staff to the wonderful facilities and the location. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Particularly Roberto, Ariana and Simone. The spa is excellent, and although we only used the pool, it was a must after walking in the Florence heat in August! The hotel is a small distance from the old city, but we’d recommend the “members club”, which costs €10 per day per adult (over age 12). The mini trolley only takes 15 minutes-ish into town, and is a great way to get a feel for the city. Pick ups can be arranged at reception. Breakfast was good, and we had one of the adjoining apartments for a family of four. All the rooms and facilities are modern and clean, even if the shower is a bit quirky! Overall we would highly recommend Hotel Grifone. There is a sister hotel to the west of the old town where you are welcome to rest, use WiFi etc etc. Highly recommended.

Villa Castiglione is located on one of the hills surrounding Florence, it is a peaceful and quiet place surrounded by villas and vines. Converted monastery now features artistically decorated interiors. Rooms are just spacious enough for a lovely stay, with ensuite modern bathroom. It is as seen on photos, clean and the staff speak English - even though they appear a bit slow and bored, they were friendly and very helpful, as well as offering advice on travel. Parking is free on the premises but be prepared for narrow windy road to reach the place. Breakfast has enough variety, but don't expect healthy options, it is generally pastries, yoghurt, cereal and eggs. Great coffee, as this is Italy, of course. Dinner is officially served from 7.30 but nobody started serving until 8pm and the menu is rather limited, lacking simple options for tired travellers such as soup or salad - and it was expensive, considering value for money. All in all, this was a great find and we can recommend the Villa.

The reception Staff were particularly good. The room was OK. We decided to eat in the `Restaurant`. The Waitress was not really interested. We waited and waited for just the menu to arrive. We ordered our food which came relatively quickly, the soup that was listed did not resemble any soup we have ever experienced. The ice cream which I could not eat was disgusting. The Waitress had disappeared we could not discus this issue at all. Having travelled nearly 600 kilometers that day in the heat, we could not wait because we were so tired. In the morning when we went to settle the bill, we found it had already been taken and the Receptionist did not want to understand and offered us two beers, small compensation.

PERSONALE cortese e professionale.

GGuest UserLet me talk about the advantages first. The location is on the edge of the old city, so the car can drive in. It is newly renovated and the interior is relatively new.
Let me talk about the disadvantages. On the first day of check-in, I went into the room and looked at the mini bar and found that a bottle of water was empty, but the bottle cap was still there, which means that the cleaning staff was careless. I immediately took it to the front desk, and the front desk just said sorry and didn’t give any other feedback. There was no toothbrush cup in the bathroom. I asked the front desk and they told us to use a drinking cup to brush our teeth. That’s awesome.
When I returned to the hotel the next night, I found that the bottled water was not replenished. I asked the front desk, and they said that for a single stay, no matter how many days, only two bottles of free water were given on the first day, and there were no free bottles after that. If you want it, it’s 5 euros per bottle. I gave feedback to Ctrip, and they said that they had negotiated with the hotel and could send two more bottles of water. I was convinced.
GGuest UserWe stayed for 3 nights in April, the Hotel was clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely without exception. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff and room service were friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. Our room was at the rear of the hotel (204) with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The view was nothing special as it overlooked the rear of other properties but it was nice and comfortable and very quite. There is a Spa that you can book for your exclusive use. This is sometimes included in your deal but otherwise is 25 euros each for 50 minutes and well worth it. The view from the roof top is superb and you can get a drink from the reception bar and take it up there or even take your own bottle of wine! Breakfast centres mainly on pastries, fruits and meats. There is a “hot” option of eggs and bacon but is only ever warm at best. However, the pastries are very nice and more than enough available. It also has to be the most convenient trip I have ever experienced from Airport to hotel! Exit the airport turn left and walk to the tram stop about a minute away. Take the T2 tram to UNITA and get off at Rosselli. That’s it!, it takes about 20 minutes and when the t4am leave you will be facing the hotel. It cost 1.50 euros each. You can buy the tickets on the tram platform but I would visit the shop Hudson as others have mentioned on here and get them there as there can be a queue to get your ticket on the platform. Don’t forget to slide it into the machine to validate it when you board. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk for the “Dome” in the centre and about 25 minutes to the bridges on the river. There are some excellent restaurants such as Casa Ciabattini and Osteria Vecchio Cancellous within 6/7 minute walk both of which I would highly recommend. I would not hesitate to return.
GGuest UserWe spent 3 night in 3 different cities on our trip. This was our favorite hotel on our trip. Beds were super comfy and the place was very clean. The staff went above and beyond for us as we asked for recommendations for restaurants and they made reservations for us and sent us text messages once they were confirmed. The best part about this place is the courtyard. Gorgeous. We would grab a drink at the bar and then go out to the courtyard to enjoy it. There is a hot tub out there as well but we did not use it. Bartenders were all very friendly. The location is perfect. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle but more than close enough to walk to everything, which we did. No need for public transportation to get to and from the hotel. High recommend!
TTSAI YU LINGThe location is 5 min walking to the s.Maria novella station and the buffet breakfast were full of options and high class, the room is huge with big bathtubs and clean, the only thing not so perfect is the water flow of shower was not so strong as the new hotel, the hotel lounge is really cozy that you can stay comfortable checking out if it’s raining outside in Firenze, the servie of staff is also nice!!!
GGuest UserThe hotel couldn’t be better. Participants have their own apartment which comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Even if you are on your own, pop for a one bedroom for a extra room. This is especially nice for a long stay. I had a room on the ground level. It opened up to the patio which has a nice sitting area and tables and chairs. I often took my lunch out there, or a drink after a hard day touring in historic Florence. People do smoke out there, but not very much. The rooms are clean, clean, clean and there is housekeeping service every three days. Linens are bright white. The property is located a block away from the T2 Tram Line which gets to the historic area in about 10 minutes. I would stay here again.
BBoluwatife OluyinkaPerfect place to stay in Florence. It was exactly in the city center, proximity to everywhere in Florence, tram and station right in front. Also, the prices are so cheap compared to the luxury and location, ig should have been more expensive. Like perfect affordable 4 star hotel.
GGuest UserLocation, location, location! Easy walk with luggage from the train station, and then you’re right in the heart of the action. With the air con not operating, the room was quite stuffy, but windows open so you can get fresh air. The lane way is quite loud at night, but again, you’re in the middle of the nightlife so it’s not a surprise. Simple, but lovely, breakfast buffet.
GGuest UserWhat a friendly and clean hotel! Convenient, excellent continental breakfast (even included eggs!), and superb staff to help with everything. Miguele, at the front desk was especially helpful with our entire 3 day stay. Parking was a big bonus, not usually included in this price range.
GGuest UserHotel very well located with air conditioning. This is very friendly staff, I let us use the microwave to warm the meal. For the price we pay is the best possible. Breakfast buffet and varied. Recommended 100%.
GGuest UserThe transportation is very convenient. It is very close to the attractions. The room is quite big and clean. It feels very simple. Arrived late that day. The top floor of the house. The building is more generous. The next day I saw the front desk and the service was very warm
