The hotel is in a great location. The room I stayed in had a view of the dome of San Lorenzo Church, with a great view. The booking rating is 9.2. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Duomo!

距離中央火車站步行不超過10分鐘。前台説達芬奇曾經在這棟樓住過一年,推窗就是教堂廣場。距離各景點都很方便,要求不是太高的話,很是推薦。

This is an amazing property. Was owned by a wealthy family and converted to a hotel. Has limits as is owned by the church across the road, so can't sell a breakfast. So much history in this building with an amazing library, paintings from prominent artists and lots of space. Good view of Duomo from 3rd floor Convenient to the train station to walk. Also, Florence is so walkable, this was close to everything, the Accademia and Duomo, the river and Michelangelo burial place. The rooms are sparse, but it has so much more room and high ceilings, which kept it cool in the warm weather. The bed is good, clean bathroom, in room refrigerator. It is sufficient as you are going to be out seeing the sights and and eating well. The church plaza across the road can be noisy at night. City living and so just adapt. Lastly, the staff were fantastic in helping with sightseeing and eating. The building is secure at night as only staffed 9Am-7PM at front desk. Just a different place to stay, and loved the history of sleeping in a 4 to 500 year old building.

I absolutely loved this quirky hotel. So much history and atmosphere. The bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Location is unbeatable. But if you are looking for a high end hotel experience with a bar/restaurant, gym, spa, room service etc. then the Artist’s Palace is not for you.

What a great hotel! So interesting and old world charming. Staff is wonderful, location is perfect, our room was furnished with two twin beds and the bathroom was a nice one. Would definitely recommend to those who enjoy historic and nostalgic accommodations.

This was an incredible way to start our holiday! Right in the middle of everything. Wonderful staff. The history if this hotel was amazing. Our room was cool on a hot hot day. Spacious family suit. Outdoor balcony was a hidden treat. Free breakfast at lovely nearby cafe. Just outstanding!!

To begin our room looked out onto the Duomo. Nothing blocking our view, amazing! The family room is spacious and perfect. The area is pumping at night, so not totally quiet. The staff was nice but removed. The lobby needs flowers and a facelift. Walking in was disappointing. But the room was great for us.

Very large (including maybe 18-ft high ceiling), clean, updated and chic rooms and hallways. Close to popular attractions. The free breakfast was about 300 ft. away in superbly beautiful La Ménagère restaurant. I highly recommended staying here.

Wonderful hotel in great location - easy walk to major attractions. Very warm welcome from Silvana on reception. Room was spacious & rooftop terrace has great view of Duomo. Breakfast was also excellent at cafe along street.

Loved the ambiance and the view from our room was amazing. It was in the heart of the Old Town and within walking distance of all major attractions and lots of shops, cafes and trattorias.

I review every hotel I stay at and this one was maybe the biggest disappointment of all time. Before our arrival in Florence we tried to extend one additional night at this Artists Palace hotel before our arrival. Thank goodness they didn’t have a room available. Apparently this hotel was a Convent at some point in its history and it felt like it hadn’t been updated since that time. I’m pretty sure it was the original flooring in the room and it was dingy and chipped tiles. The place felt like a cheap Hostel that suits those on an ultra-limited budget. The shower in one bathroom wouldn’t drain and I had to stop my shower so the water wouldn’t overflow onto the bathroom floor, wait 5 mins, then restarted my shower for one more minute to get the shampoo out of my hair. The bedside lamps were cheap plastic cones and extension cables that hung from the top of the makeshift headboard. The mattresses were the most uncomfortable ever. There were stack of boxes and chairs in the hallways, and occasional placements of worn out sofas and furniture in the halls. The artwork in the room featured broken sculptures that were the cheapest artwork they could buy at a flea market. Breakfast was at a restaurant 2 min walk down the street and this was actually the only thing we liked about the hotel. We stayed at another hotel in Florence the following night that was a similar cost, but it was so much nicer. The Artists Place Hotel is in dire need of updates.
