Convenient location, attentive service, early contact and self-service check-in. The breakfast is simple but of good quality. I really like the design and atmosphere of the entire building. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I go to Florence.

The environment of the hotel is beautiful, the front desk service is also very considerate, and we can check in early if there is a room. The location is excellent, and it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
Lovely little establishment in a great location! Bed was the most comfortable one we experienced during our entire trip. Stopping by the honesty bar for a glass of Prosecco and resting in the lounge was a nice break from the city. The room and bathroom were much smaller than they appeared in the photos but the room was clean and comfortable. Perfect start to a wonderful trip!

Positives: Location is central and near to the train station, short walk to the Duomo Hotel is immaculate and shared spaces pleasantly decorated Beds/linen comfortable Breakfast offering was very good - lots of fresh fruit Unfortunately, we found the superior room lacked practical facilities and comforts. There was no view from the window, no bath or comfortable seating in this room. Room 6. Space was lacking in the bathroom for toiletries ect. around the sink and the bathroom was small and badly designed. We moved to the junior suite on the second night which did have a bath and shower over. This room was extremely noisy due to activities (bin collections) ect in the street below, being on three different levels (2 lots of stairs) it was not an easy room to navigate especially at night if you need to use the bathroom. The location of this room - near the reception area and stairs made it noisy during the day and conversations at reception outside the room could be heard clearly. For one night this hotel is fine any longer and you would miss basic home comforts.

What a find! We wanted casual luxury in a good location without being in the midst of throngs of tourists—a tall order, but we found it in Casa G. It is a short walk from the train station and most major attractions, as well as to the Oltrarno. The room was large and quiet, comfortable, with great common spaces and a friendly and helpful staff. There was a nice breakfast as well. We will be back next time we are in Firenze. Alla prossima.

How is this place a 5 star? While the rooms are pretty, and clean - this hotel does not have five star service if this is what you are hoping for. There is no one to help you with your bags, and worse - not one staff member is on site before 8am or past 4 pm. They provide a phone number to call, but when we tried to call around 8pm to request more water and towels, no one answered. For a “5” star hotel, I’ve never heard of this. This is more like a B&B. Dont stay here if you expect any level of service.

We enjoyed 3 nights of hospitality in this interesting hotel a conversion of an ancient Florentine Palazzo once owned by the family of the author of Pinocchio. It is centrally situated and easily accessed from S. M. Novella train station. The vibe of the hotel is relaxation and enjoyment and a home from home attitude not something normally found in a hotel and very charming. There was tea and coffee available all day to help yourself and drinks from an honesty bar. It was lovely and quiet and breakfast while not spectacular was adequate for our needs. The room was a good size and the bathroom spacious and well appointed. The receptionist Linda was extremely welcoming and very helpful with any request. She arranged a generous packed breakfast for us as we need to check out early morning. Overall this was a lovely place to rest amongst the hustle and bustle of a very busy city and I have no hesitation in recommending you try it.

Best place to stay in Florence. SO peaceful. A calm oasis in a very busy city. Staff so friendly feels like home away from home. So well organised and great value for money. We all LOVED staying here and hope to be back soon. Perfect!

Great place to stay in Florence. Beautiful historical house decorated with simple and good taste. Great comfort. Walking distance from the station and very central. Charming and tactful staff. Excellent breakfast, largely prepared in house. Great and quiet living room with its "honesty bar"...
