Oykun Hotel

Stayed here for many years but this year the lack of service from bar staff during the day is terrible staff chatting while customer waiting to be served the bar toilet was dirty for the first week the gents was appalling ,maid service not much better only had clean sheets once and towels changed twice as the maid arrives late in the afternoon every day why not swap the system so they are early one day and late the next not between 3pm and 4pm each day . Although there was rumours of up grades nothing has been done towels, and the bedding still take the first layer of skin off and the room are still dark wood and yellow curtains, on a good note its local to everything and friendly

The hotel was old and dated, but clean. Some rooms were better than others. The staff were very helpful. The two pools were lovely. Towels started to be put out on the sun beds from about 6am, as we could hear/see people doing this from our terrace. The annoying thing about this is that the sun beds would not be used for most of the day and it was not policed!!! The breakfast was of a very poor standard, fresh fruit was either overripe or underripe. Fresh eggs not available on pancake days (twice a week) apart from hard boiled eggs. Generally an older clientele and mostly repeat business. The hotel location is good with plenty of restaurants/cafes and supermarkets within walking distance. No irons available at the hotel! The WiFi connection is VERY poor and virtually non-existent in your room. WiFi in outside areas of hotel and reception area OK!

Brilliant holiday. Very relaxed atmosphere and all staff very kind and helpful. No faults ! Location very central to shops , bars ,boat taxi , dolomus and of course Calis beach. Good exchange rate and hotel. Would like to visit again . Good breakfast with plenty of choices for all ages. Amazing place to stay.

A bit tired looking and needs a face lift. Rooms were basic but comfortable. You have to pay extra for use of kettles and small fridges, we didn’t bother as not essential for our stay. You have to purchase drinking water as the water fountain is only available during breakfast time. Breakfast was basic, so don’t expect your typical English as you have to pay for a decent breakfast, so it’s advisable to visit one of the local outside cafes/ restaurants. Staff make this hotel and what made our stay enjoyable. Not good for anyone who has difficulty with stairs, as there isn’t a lift and chair lift. Good location if you want to stroll along calis beach front. I’m walking distance for all local shops, bars, restaurants. Definitely for the more mature types, nothing there for the younger generation. Pool sides were okay, but again the parasols and beds could do with updating. Staff are friendly, especially the bar and reception and cleaning staff. Genuine people They can’t control the traffic, so it’s noisy throughout the day and night, if your room is in the reception side. If this bothers you, then request to stay at the other side of this complex Lots of people have been returning year after year to the Oykun, so there you go, but it’s a one off visit for us. Calis overall not our type of Turkish holiday, although it’s handy to get to other areas to visit, via water taxis and dolmus

Lovely hotel. Rooms are spotless, cleaned daily, towels and bedding also changed on a daily basis. Pools, dining area and toilets also spotless. All staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and we were always greeted with a smile. Had a laugh with Seko, no matter what time we strolled in at he was there with his friendly smile and good conversation 😂 Perfect location, close to bars, restaurants, shops and 5 minutes walk to the beach. Already booked again for Aug 25, we loved it so much ❤️

Had a Brilliant stay at the Oykun hotel. All the staff were lovely ,nothing was too much trouble especially Goldie,Farouk and the night security man Seiko ,he was great,always a welcoming smile and a chat whatever time we came in ! Hotel was spotless with rooms cleaned every day apart from Sundays and fresh towels everyday too. The hotel is literally minutes away from Restaurants,Bars,Water Taxis and the beautiful promenade and beach. We love it here and have already booked again for next year !

Absolutely 💯 perfect 1st solo holiday, every one was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food was great ,the turkish bath and massage was first class lovely lady ,I really can't wait to go back even made new friends every think about this holiday was perfect thank you so much xxx

We will 100% be coming back here! Lovely hotel with lovely helpful staff. We came as just a couple in our late 20s and it was a brilliant hotel in the perfect spot. You can walk to the beach front with all the shops and restaurants in 5 minutes. The hotel its self is very clean and tidy. The rooms are basic but you have all you need for a bed and breakfast. We paid £10 for the safe and £20 for the fridge but the wifi and the air-con was free of charge and the wifi was a good connection the whole holiday. The reception is manned 24/7 which I was surprised at for a small hotel but really good as we had a night flight. The bar does only take cash but there is a cash machine within a 5 minute walking distance. The food was lovely we ate lunch here everyday. The food does stop at 5pm so if you want to eat later than that then you would need to find a restaurant. Good selection at breakfast you can either have a Turkish style with the salad or there is cereal, toast fried eggs or omelette and some days they make pancakes. An all round lovely relatively quite hotel. 100% recommend this place to anyone.
