Day 1 (Saturday) - Before even starting our stay, we ran into an issue of me not able to share the digital room key with my husband. The front desk lady was very helpful but the issue was never resolved. That was quite all right since we were given the physical cards. The room was pretty standard, but was showing its age. The furnishings were a bit odd in my opinion, e.g. a huge table lamp, about 20-inch diameter, taking up half of the desk space that otherwise would have been very useful. THEN, when I walked into the bathroom and unrolled a hand towel, I was surprised to see it had a very dirty stain! Well, there were more clean towels I could use, so I continued to unpack and was ready to enjoy our stay. And then, the biggest issue happened when I took a shower the first night. The bathtub drained so slowly that instead of enjoying a good shower, I took a very quick one as I was afraid the tub might get overflowed. Another issue I discovered was the small refrigerator did not get very cold. Day 2 (Sunday) - I notified the hotel via their hospitality text messaging about the towel and shower drain, and someone replied that they would have new towels brought up and have maintenance take a look at the drain. The towels arrived soon, but maintenance never arrived. My shower that night was worse than the night before. Day 3 (Monday) - I texted hotel staff again but no one showed up until late that evening while we were in the room. Since we were leaving the next day, we declined any service. I read some reviews online and a drain problem was mentioned. Maybe it is a much more serious issue than just sending maintenance to take a look. I suspect the drain system is plagued by hair clogs. Will I stay at this location again? Probably not. With the price I paid for our 3-night stay, I will likely try other places next time I am in the area.
