Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Madison

Hotel employees wear pajamas(I assume they are employees at the front desk and with cleaning carts). Front desk attendant said nothing upon checkin. Appeared as though he just woke up. Room had food from previous guests and other personal items. Breakfast was ok. Outside doors not secured. Felt unsafe. Bathroom was clean and nice shower.

The room was clean, it had some unfinished drywall repairs being made but very comfortable The grab n go breakfast was very disappointing no coffee, cereal with no milk, no fruit and only one opened yogurt left, someone apparently didn’t like But there is a very good restaurant across the road

We stayed here. The location was dirty and the staff refused to give us a refund for one of our nights, DONT EVER STAY HERE!!!! The sheets were dirty and the tub wouldn't drain. Let me repeat. The sheets were dirty and the tub wouldn't drain. YUCK!!!

This hotel was a good, basic hotel room. We stayed one night, and arrived late to check in. The neighborhood seemed ok, no red flags that I noticed. The room was clean, including the linens and bathroom, and was supplied with toiletries. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast consisted of waffles, fruit (oranges, and apples), milk, cereal, orange juice, hot water for oatmeal or coffee, toast with little pb and j packets, and, (probably) muffins. However, most of the breakfast was depleted when we arrived, so, I'm not sure exactly what all was there. We were able to scrape together enough to feed our family, but I would have preferred if the breakfast had been replenished. Still, good hotel for the value.

Stayed here for a funeral so very last minute. Very clean and great staff. Good location and would stay there again. Breakfast was good. Nice having a microwave and refrigerator on room without asking for one.

The entire hotel smelled like ********* and the doors to the hotel didn’t lock at night when they were posted that they would. Also very hard to get anyone to come help you at the front desk. Definitely don’t say here.

Location is very good. Very friendly customer service. I visited this hotel due to with family on my way to Madison. We enjoyed our stay here and liked clean rooms and breakfast too. We definitely visit again in the future.

Checked in my reservation was canceled by the front desk attendant and he rang me up under their server. When driving home I noticed I was charged twice I called him and he left me he told me that he has been doing this for 5 years good luck getting my money back. He also tried to charge $75 for my animal fee when the Wyndham said 25$ . When I go back I will pay double the price to stay somewhere else and get a better experience. I can deal with a lot of things a dirty room not fresh linens but bad customer service for practice will make me turn away quicker than anything.

Staff is rude when they show up. This place is a dump. The whole building is musty and smells like ****. 1st room was terrible smelled like ****, musty, water stains down the walls, so we requested another room. 2nd room looked and smelled a little better until the AC was turned on. I got hit in the face with the smell of mildew laced heavily with ****. We were exhausted from a 13 hour drive and needed sleep so we crashed for 2 hours. Owner refused any portion of refund when I discussed my complaints & told him we couldn't stay there.
