Hello! I don’t share the rave reviews for this hotel - it completely does not correspond to 4 stars... I would give a maximum of 1, and then only for the gorgeous beach. Temple tree resort & spa is the very hotel where you should never go. Why? 1. Old, shabby furniture, it seems that it was installed 20-30 years ago and is still standing... everything wobbles, creaks and looks presentable, to put it mildly. I don’t recommend turning on the huge fan above the bed unless you want to star in the new part of the movie “Destination”  2. Plumbing - if you know how normally all the taps should work and water should flow, then I’ll tell you this - in this hotel they don’t know about it. The toilet is leaking, the faucet is spitting hot and cold water, and the restroom is always damp. 3. Mini-mini format refrigerator - fits two 1.5 liter bottles of water and goodbye! By the way, we recommend buying water in stores, because they don’t always bring it to your room (oh my God, 2 bottles). TV without Russian channels (for whom it is important to watch Sasha-Tanya after a 10-hour flight and relax) and at first there were problems with it too (they forgot to change the batteries in the remote control and it did not work). 4. When you check into a hotel, they don’t warn you that you won’t be alone, but in the company of a bunch of cockroaches and beetles. In response to your complaint, they may push you through some means, but as practice has shown, there will be even more cockroaches! If you are cold-blooded about insects, then skip this point. 5. The hotel has big problems with electricity. During almost 2 weeks of our stay, the lights were cut out 3 times for several hours... and the air conditioner that is leaking (to justify the hotel workers - they eliminated the flow of water the first time) cannot work and you will immediately feel all the delights of the climate in the month of March on Induruwa. 6. Food? Under no circumstances take it, or even breakfast, if they offer it to you for free! The chefs not only cook without gloves, but also add their own spices to all dishes. The buffet turns into a boom...spice market! For 14 days, nothing from the menu has changed, and the staff does not know that when a dish runs out, you need to report it. The tea and coffee are not bad, you can also take juices: pay attention, they are served only for tomorrow, and at dinner kind waiters will come up to you and sell you on offering to drink water or something else for money. Business level 99! P.S. behind the hotel there is a chic cafe called “Janus Paradise” with affordable prices, a good selection and a Russian menu. Their cola costs 2.5 times cheaper than in a hotel bar - don’t overpay! 7. The hotel area is small, but quite well maintained. The pool is small, for an adult man 180 cm tall, the depth is just above the waist... for children it will definitely be suitable, but for adults only go into the ocean or swear every time you go there! 8. The beach is amazing!

Beautiful hotel, all rooms with sea views, two swimming pools. Cons: lack of towels by the pool, we waited 20 minutes for them to be brought to us; when leaving the hotel we were presented with a bill from the bar, from which we had not ordered anything, it took about 40 minutes to sort it out, which was not very pleasant

Breakfast is still good. But the room really feels that the price is very low. The room of 500 is shown below. Two 0.9-stitched beds, no place to put the suitcase, so moving out of the balcony can only say that the room is really small, the balcony to see is the picture is very scattered. This hotel is really lively, I feel very depressed, so I checked out after one night. In fact, Bentota has a lot of family-friendly B&Bs with good value for money. Generally, the breakfast is good for 250 packs. Come to Bentota and recommend staying at the B&B. This hotel is the second worst tourist in Lanka. There is no clothes to dry clothes. People who may live here do not wash clothes. It’s not good to go into the whole person. The swimming pool is a nice view and very close to the beach. This price is not recommended. Can be better.

It's really a hard-to-describe experience. No wonder not many Chinese people stay here. The hotel belongs to a local chain hotel. Although it is rated 5 stars on Ctrip, the hotel walls are covered with tripadvisor sgs and other certifications, and it is a legacy designed by Bawa, but it is really disappointing after checking in. It happened to be a small peak when checking in. Several tour groups checked in at the same time, and the front desk seemed a bit busy. Fortunately, the passports and luggage were not messed up, and the room card was safely obtained. The hotel is a bit large, and the building where the front desk is located is really 5🌟. Bawa's skills were definitely epoch-making works 50 years ago. But as soon as you leave the main building of the hotel, it's like going to another hotel, and the sense of age hits you. Especially the lawn in the middle looks like a prison yard. The lawn is undecorated and bumpy. There are a few wild dogs wandering around. After entering the room, it's just okay, but compared with the main building, it's worth 3🌟 at most. But because it is very close to the sea, the ground on the second floor will also be damp for no reason. Although the hotel was renovated in 2019, the facilities in the room are also very illogical. There is only one empty power socket in the whole room, and the rest are plugged in lamps, kettles, TVs and other equipment. The switch of the ceiling light is very interesting. The switch on the left bed controls the light on the right bed. When I checked in, I also took my child to the children's playground, which is the kind of indoor children's playground in domestic shopping malls, but the maintenance inside is really not good. The most terrible thing is that no one cares even when the cover of the electric box is opened. If it were in the United States, it would have been sued for compensation. The food is not expensive, but the taste is not online. But to be honest, the waiters here are more local and down-to-earth, probably because most of the hotel guests are locals. There are less than 10 white and Asian people in the whole hotel who stay for breakfast. It is obviously different from anatara where I stayed before. There may be more European and American customers there, and the employees are used to tiptiptiptip for everything. Bentota is more sincere

Welcome - we were greeted well on arrival As this was our last hotel on trip we requested for an upgrade. The receptionist said the hotel was full but it wasnt the case when we checked with housekeeping staff. Rooms - The rooms are pretty standard 5 star rooms with partial sea view from the room we stayed in. Service - The room service/housekeeping was very quick and efficient but the service at the pool restaurant was very dull and unwelcoming. F&B - The food and the service at the main restaurant was outstanding. This is what saved our good views on this hotel. The manager was more than eager to serve us well. Pool - The pool is very nice- very big and well maintained Beach- The beach was nothing special. Overall - A decent hotel with tough neighborly competition.

A good hotel on the first line of the ocean, located away from the road and from the city, in the off-season there are no cafes and places to eat nearby, so you have to eat at the hotel, you can take a buffet for lunch and dinner. The beach near the hotel is the only place for swimming in the off-season, a natural breakwater protects the shore and forms a kind of ocean pool. Friendly staff, quick check-in, a large and warm pool, funny badgers/squirrels, monitor lizards dart around the territory became an additional bonus to a great time. The location is a little bit biased, but it ’s okay because it ’s all-inclusive. When you enter, you need to go through security checks. Welcome drinks are available. The room is relatively rudimentary. Take a bath at 1600. We do n’t even have a bathtub. The location of Ctrip Booking is not good. On the far side, there is no view outside, and it is farthest from the restaurant and swimming pool. In the bar building, the first night was too noisy. I called the front desk three times to negotiate No fruit, it was quiet until 11 o'clock in the evening, there are 4 restaurants, it is said that Asian restaurants are the best, because there are prawns, you can eat for 24 hours, but personally feel that eating up to two meals will be tired because of things Most of the duplicates are fish and chicken pizzas. It may not be interesting to live for a long time. There are three swimming pools. The children's pool is on the lower floor, which is relatively simple. It is completely incomparable to what we live in Phuket and Nha Trang. The small pool can Playing water volleyball, some people also teach water yoga, that is, the pool is unobstructed. After playing for a while, I peeled off my body. It is useless to wipe the sun. There are many types of drinks. Where to go? Unlimited supply, fresh cocktails are very good, there are a lot of drinks in the mini bar, and it feels endless. We booked here mainly for the New Year's Eve, and the hotel did not let us down. There was a dragon dance during the dinner. Lion show, there is a crazy show at zero, personally I think it looks good, 6 people, 60 songs, great. Afterwards, the hotel thoughtfully let us go to the beach, prepared the Kongming lantern to fly and pray for blessings. I felt more ritualistic than the Chinese New Year. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic. They would greet us with a smile whenever they saw it. It was great for us to relax and spend a few days on vacation around the island in Sri Lanka.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.
