Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

This place is amazing, but it would be nothing without the staff who really made our stay special. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are both friendly, helpful and hard working, always on hand to help with any little thing, even if it is just local travel advice. The deputy manager Kumarasiri was especially friendly and made sure our every need was met. The room was huge an easily accomodated the four of us, we had the pool suite which opened on both sides, to the pool and also the beachfront garden, where you can dine, use the sunbeds or just relax on a sofa and read, that's if you don't want to sit on your large balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the 4-poster in the main room was huge. everything was provided in the bathroom, loads of towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel. The restaurant and dining were fabulous, breakfast has a range of options from traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with sambal and rice to continential or cooked, loads of fresh fruit and juice, and of course tea, it wouldn't be Sri Lanka without Ceylon tea. Evening meals were fabulous, we ate there most nights, very reasonable pricing for such tasty and feshly cooked food, i particularly enjoyed the black pork curry and my kids loved the fried noodles and fried rice. Our kids loved the pool area, it's secluded and sheltered, right next to the rooms and the pool bar. The hotel itself is secured at night and has a permanent security guard once the staff go home, the guard is a lovely fellow, constantly patrolling and keeping an eye out which is very reassurring. One day we had to leave to go to the temple at a very early hour of 5am, so the hotel prepared us packed breakfasts (which they didn't have to do) and the security guard made sure we had them ready for when we left. I cannot reccomend this place more highly, out of the 5 places we stayed in Sri Lanka, from east to west coast, this was the highlight and the best accomodation experience, it way exceeeded my expectations, especially given the very cheap price, i would not have expected somewhere so good at such a low price per night for 4 people.

Awesome place, the best youth travel I have ever stayed in so far, manages to take care of all places clean and spotless, especially comfortable, can cook, and have a separate bathroom for girls.

This hotel is the most impressive and satisfying one in the entire Sri Lankan itinerary. It completely exceeded expectations and surpassed the other two heritage hotels in my heart. The hotel has only 4 rooms with English-style butler service. It is very quiet and can provide better services. You can choose the breakfast you want according to your own taste (there are local style, Western European style and various options). You can tell the housekeeper the meal time and food the day before, and the next morning will be specially made for you and delivered to the room or in the room. The open-air dining bar at the entrance, anyway, the overall service is butler-style, plus the overall decoration style, this kind of style has only been seen in British dramas before, I really love this kind of place, if it is not for the next day, I really want to If you stay for a few more days, Galle itself is a bit similar to Gulangyu Island in China. It is very suitable for a leisurely vacation, and this kind of butler service is really relaxing.

We spent three weeks driving around Sri Lanka and, with a few days left before heading to the Maldives, decided to explore the southern province. Despite May not being the ideal season to visit the southwest, our experience at The Charleston at Galle Fort more than compensated for it. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to exceptional hospitality that truly set The Charleston apart. I hold top elite status with several hotel chains and have stayed in numerous premium five-star hotels, but the level of service here was on another level. The staff went above and beyond in every aspect, from the warm welcome at check-in to the personalized attention throughout our stay. The location, just south of Galle Fort, serves as an excellent base for exploring the area.

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

My review, of course, will not be about this hotel, but about the hotel of this chain, Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. We booked a room at the Thaproban Beach House Hotel, when we came to check in, it turned out that our reservation at this place was missing, and we had a reservation at the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. Thanks to the Trip.com team for helping us understand and resolve issues. And the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa turned out to be much better than the Thaproban Beach House. True, it is not on the beach, but the beach is 5-7 minutes away. The hotel is super, all the amenities, large rooms overlooking the ocean. Very tasty breakfasts, 2 swimming pools on site, one with salt water. In general, I highly recommend the hotel. We really liked it. And we never regretted that we moved into it.

The location is a little bit biased, but it ’s okay because it ’s all-inclusive. When you enter, you need to go through security checks. Welcome drinks are available. The room is relatively rudimentary. Take a bath at 1600. We do n’t even have a bathtub. The location of Ctrip Booking is not good. On the far side, there is no view outside, and it is farthest from the restaurant and swimming pool. In the bar building, the first night was too noisy. I called the front desk three times to negotiate No fruit, it was quiet until 11 o'clock in the evening, there are 4 restaurants, it is said that Asian restaurants are the best, because there are prawns, you can eat for 24 hours, but personally feel that eating up to two meals will be tired because of things Most of the duplicates are fish and chicken pizzas. It may not be interesting to live for a long time. There are three swimming pools. The children's pool is on the lower floor, which is relatively simple. It is completely incomparable to what we live in Phuket and Nha Trang. The small pool can Playing water volleyball, some people also teach water yoga, that is, the pool is unobstructed. After playing for a while, I peeled off my body. It is useless to wipe the sun. There are many types of drinks. Where to go? Unlimited supply, fresh cocktails are very good, there are a lot of drinks in the mini bar, and it feels endless. We booked here mainly for the New Year's Eve, and the hotel did not let us down. There was a dragon dance during the dinner. Lion show, there is a crazy show at zero, personally I think it looks good, 6 people, 60 songs, great. Afterwards, the hotel thoughtfully let us go to the beach, prepared the Kongming lantern to fly and pray for blessings. I felt more ritualistic than the Chinese New Year. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic. They would greet us with a smile whenever they saw it. It was great for us to relax and spend a few days on vacation around the island in Sri Lanka.

Welcome - we were greeted well on arrival As this was our last hotel on trip we requested for an upgrade. The receptionist said the hotel was full but it wasnt the case when we checked with housekeeping staff. Rooms - The rooms are pretty standard 5 star rooms with partial sea view from the room we stayed in. Service - The room service/housekeeping was very quick and efficient but the service at the pool restaurant was very dull and unwelcoming. F&B - The food and the service at the main restaurant was outstanding. This is what saved our good views on this hotel. The manager was more than eager to serve us well. Pool - The pool is very nice- very big and well maintained Beach- The beach was nothing special. Overall - A decent hotel with tough neighborly competition.

We had the most remarkable honeymoon at Saman Villas. I was back after 3 years and the property is impeccably maintained and after a major upgrade, which I could tell from the moment I stepped in. New furniture, advance lighting, brand new decor, the suites had a lovely facelift too, especially the walking closet & bathroom with indoor shower cubicle, great lighting & full mirror in the dressing room, not missing out it’s old world charms like the outdoor tub. We loved how easy & convenient it was, basically just a flick of a button to get anything. The views are next to none! I’m always lost for words to describe such majestic ocean views surrounding us from every direction. The food was fantastic! Every meal we had was absolutely delicious. All home grown, fresh ingredients. We especially loved the Sri Lankan food which was surprising as we are locals but it was different, like an elevated version of Sri Lankan flavours. The staff are really the best! After all the difficulties Sri Lankan tourism has faced since 2019, it was so refreshing to be welcomed by the same familiar faces, eager to make our stay unforgettable. Special mention to Dinushi & the GM Wester Feltman for spoiling us. Every staff member we met was equally friendly & hospitable as if it’s ingrained in their DNA. We can’t recommend Jetwing Saman Villas enough. It truly is a special place. Thank you so much for the magical & joyful stay!
