***Amazing Host. Room with a View. All necessary amenities within the property. Utilitarian and cosy. Fit for both tourists and business travellers. If you are looking for a hotel, this is not the place to stay. The rooms are better than many equally priced hotels , however the facilities are more in line with a homestay. ***I would say it is a warm and cosy bed and breakfast with a large industry grade kitchen. ***One interesting fact: Got to learn how to brew beer at home from the caretaker, probably named bishal, and had the pleasure of checking out the equipment. I was offered a beer that was brewed at the kitchen and with such ease . It tasted exactly like an imported beer that we get at liquor stores. The caretaker was a bit weird nevertheless he was nice, helpful and interesting. Pros 1. Lovely staircase adorned with plants, dhoop and paintings 2. 30 seconds and you reach a prohibited parking area from where you can experience a magnificent view 3. You can wake up to see sunrise from your bed if the sun rises 4. You can see floating clouds taking shapes, gaze at the night sky full of stars with head full of dreams and watch the rain too from large glass windows 5. Amazing curtain colors 6. You do not need to get out to see Himalayas but to experience it you will always have to go walking 7. Great cafes , music stores , kirana shops nearby and banks too. 8. No entry and exit barrier 9. Authentic local bars at a stones throw 10. A map of sikkim to guide you at the entrance Cons 1. Not suitable for old or ailing 2. Travel assistance by the owner/operator is great but not by the caretaker leading to severe traumatic experience 3. Caretaker was not that great in terms of service 4. A fan or right kind of ventilation was necessary
