This is a small, beautiful, local old hotel. The pub is friendly and cosy. The food was really nice, we had lunch, dinner and breakfast - all freshly cooked and tasty. Our bedroom was large and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. The staff were very friendly and service was good. A welcome change from the many bland corporate hotels . We'd stay again.

First time back for 29 years and what a pleasant surprise. The room was very pleasant and nice and comfortable. The bar was well stocked and comfortable. The restaurant was very nice and the menu very good. All in all a great stay and when we return to the Trossachs we will base ourselves at the Bull. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had four nights at the Black Bull Staff were very welcoming, helpful. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. Beds were a good size and the bathroom was well equipped.The food was very good at breakfast and evening meals were excellent.

I have stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the bar has a great atmosphere and a superb section of ale, the food at dinner and breakfast uses very good ingredients and always cooked well. The room have comfy beds and excellent showers and really well appointed. Hard to find a fault. The fact it is community owned is the icing on the cake.

The room was really lovely , very tastefully decorated and very comfortable; the food and drinks were also very good. The check in times are slightly later than most hotel/pubs at 4pm, so don’t arrive early unless you want to wait. The restaurant booking was for 7.30pm and when we asked to go in at 7pm we were told our table wasn’t ready ? At 7.30pm the restaurant was empty but another couple and all tables were set up

The Black Bull at Gartmore is a wonderful heritage place, we breakfasted in the heritage centre surrounded by the history of the village and its people. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. This place is gem, it reflects the close knit community that exists in Gartmore. Thank you Black Bull for the pleasurable stay.

We were two cyclists completing the Lochs and Glens way, and the hotel was able to store and charge our bikes safely in the adjoining community village hall. Good food and friendly staff. We were well looked after by Alice. Definitely recommend.

Zeer charmant, kleinschalig hotel in een rustige plattelandsstreek, vlakbij Stirling and the Trossachs. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst, superlieve gastvrouw, lekker ontbijt en zeer confortabele superpropere kamers, wij komen zeker terug !

Our room (number 5) was a lovely room, very big! Clean bathroom, really comfortable and great size bed, super friendly staff!! Great place for overnight stay! The dinner and breakfast were really nice and the pub has a very friendly atmosphere.
