Uma segunda casa! O Carmo’s Boutique Hotel foi uma agradável surpresa já que fomos tratados como gente nos dias em que lá estivemos.Com um sonoro bemvindos ao Carmo Hotel, conhecemos o Sr. David, que se veio a revelar homem dos sete ofícios e bom conversador. Recebidos pela D. Sílvia, com uma genuína simpatia e sempre atenta a todos os pormenores, fomos conduzidos ao nosso quarto. A concepção, decoração e conforto são dignas de referência, bem como a sua decoração. Decoração, que parece excessiva numa primeira visão, prova mais tarde ser uma “desorganização” organizada pela forma como tudo está disposto pelas salas. Há jardins que pelo frio da época, Dezembro, só de dia se podiam visitar, em céu aberto ou protegidos com uma lareira a acompanhar. Se ainda assim tivéssemos frio tinha uma sala onde o calor e decoração aqueciam o coração. No serviço de jantar conhecemos a D. Joana que mais uma vez com simpatia também genuína, nos brindou com as iguarias que escolhemos, que careciam pela confecção a apresentação fabulosas, um passeio pelos jardins, mas o frio era demais. Finalmente um SPA muito bem concebido, também decorado de forma original e com uma curiosidade, um relógio que andava ao contrário. Mas chamei a este mau comentário segunda casa. Tendo 66 anos e pensando no futuro, seria um bom sítio para sossegadamente passar o resto dos meus dias que desejo a mim e todos que sejam muitos, com saúde. Obrigado. Francisco Zuzarte

Had a gorgeous 3 night stay at this last stop on our tour of Northern Portugal. We stayed in one of the "tented" rooms which was amazing. Very roomy and highly specced. Breakfast was good and we ate in one evening enjoying a very tasty meal for reasonable price. The pool area including the beds are first rate and for most of the time we were there had this area to ourselves. Really can't find anything significant to fault, simply stunning place. You will most probably need a car to stay at this property to allow you to explore the fabulous surrounding towns.

Het is gewoon een heel excentriek hotel. Niet mijn smaak. Staat voel met rare kunst zaken die mij niet aanspreken. De kamer die wij hadden noem ik maar even de spiegel kamer. Alle wanden waren voorzien van spiegels. De afwerking is geen 5 sterren waard. De service was prima maar voor ons geen t****e keer..

Without a doubt the best I've ever visited... Everything was very well looked after and with an extraordinary decor... I booked 2 nights, I'm still on my first night and I'm already evaluating... Dinner was in the wine cellar, the girl Joana was beyond friendly exceeded expectations.. 5 stars. Now let's talk about the food. I ate a wonderful grilled octopus. I even had the opportunity to speak to the boss who is also very friendly. Continue with this traditional food that characterizes us so much. Thank you so much for everything.

Have you ever pulled into a hotel and the second you get there- you feel like you should run away as fast as you can? Well- this is that kind of place. Book here at your own risk- I should have read the trip advisor reviews before booking and wasting money and time and aggravation 1- the reception was beyond un welcoming- we were not treated nice at check in and we appeared to be the only guests at the hotel 2-the hotel and grounds looked nothing like the photos advertised- 3- the room stunk and whatever industrial strength chemicals used to clean the room caused an immediate reaction to a skin breakout 4- the dining room was in the same lobby as check in and in everything smelled bad- like a bad roadside inn from 1964 in the poconos with the same depressing musty oder all around we ran out of the place within 5 minutes of arrival as it was run down/ smelled bad// was noisy and next to a main roadway and the staff was beyond rude at check in - it was a scary place that was no way close to what was promised on the false advertising website we booked for 2 nights- asked for a refund on one night and were laughed at - they told us go ahead and post a bad social media review- we dont care and that summed it up- they don't care stay here at your own risk- you have been warned!
