Love the breakfast. the room is spacious too. hotel is nearby and easy to walk to the popular restaurant. like kapitan and pasembor. 5mins walking distance to Esplanade.

Hotel was strategically located near to Jetty Chew - a lot of amenities were available. Room was prepared excellently and service was great! Breakfast was sumptuous as well! Will definitely do a return visit here!

Quite a decent hotel with basic amenities. Pool was clean and less crowded. Consider getting the room with pool view as it’s nice. Only issue was the front desk lady with the specs did not greet welcome to us and even interrupted me halfway while I was telling her my request. Other than that, the rest of the staff were warm and friendly, the housekeeper guys did a great job at keeping the room clean and greeted us each time.

Perfection of the place, I really love it. Will repeat when come again to the penang.

Tbh the cleanliness is so so. The location is easy to find but the lobby location is a bit tricky. I stayed for 2 nights, the breakfast is also average. BUT the pool is awesome!!!! Overall 3/5. Anyway, thank you Royale Chulan.

Nice staff, very clean, got parking with RM5 only for whole stay and their breakfast very nice. My regular hotel to check in if go to Penang

The location of this hotel is very near at the port and you can walk around at Penang. I love to book this hotel since i can grab nasi kandar from various famous nasi kandar nearby. the breakfast is superb but pricey if you want to add on for children which is rm40. the room is very nice and clean, with good service and amenities.

Comfortable room. The location of the hotel which is relatively close to several main attractions also make it easier to move from one place to another. However, the cleanliness of the room should be given more attention.

I've been staying in this hotel at least five times. I requested a room away from the swimming pool and they gave me a room at the end. This was perfect. Such excellent service. If you like something spicy, head over to the nearby food court for their spicy nasi lemak.😋 ( See photo)

Location is strategic if you reach George Town by ferry. Converted from a iconic old building. Breakfast is good.

Everything is good & all. But, there’s baby cockroaches near the entrance & bathroom area. Breakfast is good, tasty.

It was an awesome stay. The guy in the reception didn’t only stored our luggage’s when we arrived earlier than check in time but even allowed us to checked in right then and there. After a gruelling 10 hr bus trip (with delay) from Melaka, he sure was the light after hell 😂 Everyone was helpful, sometimes there might be a language barrier but they will still try to talk and not left you hanging! Rosalyn from the Restaurant was also helpful and informative giving us recommendation and tips! Nothing but good things to say. Maybe just more attention to small details in the cleanliness of the rooms , like molds in the nooks and crannies of the bathroom area, bed fabric sliding off etc. but nothing extreme to affect your stay. The hotel is convenient to walk around to. Just a stone throw there’s a local eatery if you want to try local food right away.

Room was ok I need of refurbishment overall ok service breakfast spread was better than other royal chulan establishments for the price ok I guess. Parking wad a little hard to access but ample.
