Your staff stole money from me and you didn't care enough to do anything about it. I made it my mission to have you closed down and was eventually able to speak to the tourism authority of Malaysia, and told them all about how you steal from tourists and get away with it. They were not happy. I hope that you are shut down because of me. Thanks for doing business!

Location very good for food/walkable town area. If you like classic and old building this style will fullfill you need. Only the staircase I think owner need to fix, some of the part already loose. pls take a look on it!

Comfortable bed. Decent hot shower. Lockers in the dorm that appeared to be secure. Unusually for a hostel, they provided shampoo and handwash in the showers and bathroom. It's rather spartan but is relaxing and enjoyable. Has most things you need. The one thing lacking was a kettle.

We had a significant amount of money stolen from our private room while it was locked. Upon reading other reviews it’s obvious this is something that happens here often. I suspect it was something with access to the room keys. Nothing was done about it and we were told going to the police was no use since the hostel only has CCTV at the main entrance and not the second floor, where our room was. Beyond this it should be noted that the hostel is made of a paper thin walls and a poor room design where there are windows to the hallway (?) which means ultimately you might be woken up in the night to someone switching on the hall lights to walk to the toilet. Do not stay here. The front doors are left unattended and open for anyone off the street to walk in.

Apart from this place being gross and noisy we came back to our locked room to find all of our cash stolen from our wallet in our room, all of our currencys stolen from us. Now I see other reviews saying the same thing so I say to you do not stay here. Do not give this place your business.

Be careful with your belongings inside the hostel. I stayed here 3 nights in a private twin bedroom with my boyfriend. During our last day we visited the Kek Lok temple and came back to the hostel around 5pm to do the laundry in a place nearby. When we arrived to get our stuff, we started packing our things because we were leaving next day in the morning and we confirmed that we had all our money in a folder with other documents. We locked the room and went to the laundry. Unfortunately we did not confirm the money when we got back from the laundry and dinner but I'm 100% sure that the door was locked. The staff was completely aware that we went to the laundry because they saw us leaving and coming back to the hostel. We did the check out in the morning and we took a bus to another place but when we arrived we noticed that some money was stolen from our stuff (around 300$). During the trip to our next destination we did not leave our bags for a single moment so it is impossible for someone to open our bags, open our money folder and take what we had inside. When we realized that we did not have the money we tried to contact the hostel but their number is always unavailable. We were able to get other number via Instagram and talked with someone from the staff. The staff said that they do not have any CCTV available on the upper floor or any spare keys to open the room ... (which is pretty odd). To confirm this info we were able to reach out to a guest that was still in the hostel after we left to confirm that they have a camera upstairs, and by the right next to our room (room nr 2)!!!!!!!!! Regarding the hostel facilities and environment everything is pretty shady. The staff is only there for a couple hours and you can see some random people entering the hostel and using the facilities. Another red flag is their check in. They do not asked for passport, contacts, nothing!!! They just requested the payment and thats it!!!!! Therefore they do not have any clue about who is staying or not inside. To finish this this review, I just want to say that I obviously DO NOT RECOMMEND this hostel to anyone! Also it seems that a similar issue to mine happened on 2018 (you can check on Tripadvisor reviews if you filter for the lowest scores). At this point we can't do nothing besides writing this review to warn you! DO NOT STAY HERE!
