Hotels near Little Penang Street Market, George Town

Easy location but the room is quite small even for couple, only have small spaces to put our luggage and to walk inside the room. The sound proof is really bad as we can hear every single things in the hallway and the next room. Toilet is okay but the lock is not that secure, can be open from the outside. Parking lot is the worst, only few sedan cars can enter the parking lot and we had small collision during going out due to small passage of the parking lot

Service was amazing, check in was smooth and staff offered to carry our baggages and showed us our rooms with explanations of where each items were at. Hotel was very clean and beautiful. Location is great, a 5min walk from the port (ferry from Butterworth) and it is near the bus stop (CAT free bus). Overall the stay was exceptional and would definitely stay there again if I go back to Penang! :)

Location is really good - I would even give 10 stars out of 5 stars because it is surrounded by big shopping malls. Can walk for food and supermarket. Nice lobby and staff friendly. There is gym and pool though pool is abit small. Breakfast was ok sufficient but could be better with choices compared to when we went to Thailand and Bali. It gets full seating around 8am. Room size I think good and we had the sea view to enjoy. Overall I was pleased with my stay.

We stayed with the Ascott group numerous times for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities around the world, and Citadines Connect Georgetown is no exception. The building is renovated from a historical building which gives the hotel a mixture of cultural and contemporary vibe. It's a 3-story newly-built hotel and everything you see is brand new and tidy. The lobby is not large, but there are plentiful spaces to rest for a while. The room we stayed in is Studio Executive, and it's clean enough. The air-conditioning system utilized a touch panel for you to easily adjust to your liking. There are no drinking bottles inside the room but a water dispenser is just in the hallway, both environment-friendly and convenient. One of the things worthy of notice is the tap water system, where hot and cold water may be installed conversely. The hotel itself is located around minutes walk from Komtar neighborhood, and you can easily take buses to the airport or to other areas of Penang via the Komtar terminal. Several malls are also in this area to give you the convenience of shopping. The well-known hawker food centre at Lebuh Presgrave crossroad is also close by, where you can easily grab most of the famous and delicious local dishes here. CAT bus station is also not far from the hotel, and you can tour the UNESCO sites with it for a day trip. Overall, it's an excellent choice to stay here for its brand-new facilities, and its convenience regarding transportation, shopping, and dining.

Our stay at Subway Hotel Georgetown was pleasant, starting with a smooth and friendly check-in process. We arrived earlier than expected, and since our room was already ready, the staff kindly allowed us to check in ahead of time. This made for a great start to our trip! A standout feature of this hotel is the complimentary shuttle bus service, which took us around town. It was a convenient and cost-saving perk, as we didn’t have to spend extra on Grab rides. The hotel’s central location is another major advantage, making it easy to walk to many of Georgetown’s hotspots. With plenty of great food nearby, it’s hard to go wrong here. Our 7th-floor room offered a lovely view, but the pool area views were even more impressive. The bathroom was well-equipped with a hand nozzle in the shower and excellent water pressure, which was definitely appreciated after a long day out. The room also provided two purified glass water bottles and a nice selection of coffee and tea for a refreshing start to the day. However, not everything was perfect. The bathroom sink in our room (732) had a very slow drain, which was frustrating. While the TV was a bit outdated, I was still able to enjoy watching the Manchester City game, so it didn’t impact our experience too much. The toilet seat was old and did not close quietly. To end on a high note, I have to mention the bed. It was a true king-size, possibly even a California king, and incredibly comfortable. My partner and I had a great night’s sleep, thanks to the soft mattress and the four pillows (with two being firm, which was my preference). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend Subway Hotel Georgetown to others!

**Travelodge Georgetown Review** I recently stayed at the Travelodge Georgetown and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was nice, clean, and spacious, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience. However, the only downside I encountered was the limited parking availability. It was quite challenging to find a spot, especially during peak hours. Despite this, I would still recommend Travelodge Georgetown for its excellent room quality and overall service.

Clean and compact hotel that’s fairly new, but there were many issues with my room: •Toilet bowl was faulty on the first night and the following night the air-con broke down – changed rooms as a result • WiFi was spotty and weak – used my phone data for the bulk of the time • Be reminded that you need to place a tag on your door for room service. No one communicated that to me (until Day 4 after multiple times of feedback given) so my room was left as is for days. Tips: • They don’t serve hand soap, but you could use the body soap provided in the shower as a substitute. • There are no facial tissues, so toilet paper is your alternative.

Formerly known as Evergreen Laurel Hotel. Old 4 or 5 stars hotel under Parkroyal partner group. Hotel was well maintained. Just facing newly opened Gurney Bay park. Room was clean and well maintained. But it is time to upgrade. Breakfast spread was okay. Just checked in process was so damn slow. I counted it took about 10-12 min just to check in each person. My suggestion…for online booking..the front counter should pre registered all before the customer arrived. It just a waste of time for each customer register one by one at the counter. Please speed up tje process

The location of the hotel is very good and the landlord is very nice. The room is simple in design, but the facilities are very new and clean. The quilt, bed and pillow are very comfortable. The electrical appliances in the room are very complete, even the unexpected dryer is available. The living room is very large and the children play together. There is also a swimming pool in the hotel, which is really very beautiful. We will book this hotel again next time!

Nice cosy room. Newly refurbished room, bathroom was cleaned and bad was comfortable. Nice lobby with some sort grand old fashioned decor staffs were very friendly and service were excellent. The swimming pool also nice.
