I found the front desk personnel to be unforgiving and unreasonable. All they seemed to care about was profit. The hotel itself is average at best. Nothing out of the ordinary; basic rooms, breakfast, facilities. It's basically a stop on i-95 if your're stuck.

The online check in does not help at all the property is not set up to know you have checked in on line. The property needs to hurry up and get with modern times and help the customer save time @check in

Worn out room that was not very clean. Mystery stains on the furniture. Overall, below average for my expectations of a Marriott property.

The hotel is newly renovated. It is very tastefully done. The staff were helpful with my business needs. It met all my travel needs. I don’t know why Trip Advisor requires 200 characters, so I continue on . . . I enjoyed watching the CWS last night. Go Vols!

must say that I was a little hesitant staying here after reading some of the recent reviews. It just goes to show that you can't always rely on someone else's experience. From the moment we walked in Myra at the front desk was so warm and welcoming that I knew we made the right choice. She remembered our names for the entire stay and just helped us feel like we were at home. Max on the afternoon shift was equally as friendly. All of the other associates were excellent as well. Management must be doing something right . Rooms were recently upgraded and very cozy and functional. For a small kitchen they sure had everything one could ask for. If you have to stay in Goldsboro, then I'd make this hotel your first choice.
