Golmud Hotels with Gym

This is one of the better quality options in Golmud (there aren’t many). The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor - there were no functioning USB ports in the room and the hotel was unhelpful - seeming unwilling or unable able to offer a solution. The “room service” is actually takeaway food delivered from outside the hotel but no cutlery/chopsticks was provided with it. When we asked the hotel to provide some, it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive (longer than the food itself), by which time the food was getting cold. We had to ask repeatedly for sufficient drinking water, having only been provided two small bottles for two people. Aside from the poor service, the hotel is in an odd location, surrounding by closed shops and building sites - nowhere near the commercial centre of the city - with nothing within walking distance. With the right management, it could be an excellent hotel, but it’s not quite there at the moment.

After using several of our towels, we cleaned it up, and then the air conditioner was very smooth. The service of the hotel is still good. Whatever we need, the waiter will send it to us from afar. Of course, the environment of the hotel is the best. It is perfect to take pictures of the starry sky at night, watch the sunset, and watch the sunrise in the morning. Our villa cabin has a terrace, where you can watch the starry sky and the sunrise. In general, although it is expensive, there is nothing wrong with it, and it is worth recommending.
