This is a grand old hotel. It is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are pretty typical European: not generous in size, but adequate. There is not an elevator or bellhop service so be prepared to bring your own luggage to your room no matter what floor you are on. The meals are delicious. You will enjoy it here and enjoy the area.

My favorite hotell in Oslo - area! Very friendly and serviceminded staff and very good food. The hotel is old, but is very charming. New building for weddings and conferances is just finished. I have stayed her several times for business and also private. Excellent After Noon Tea, the best in Oslo -area?

I was here for two nights, with conference in the day. The hotel is old, but they have embraced it and it makes it feel homey. The conference room gets a bit warm with poor quality of air however. The breakfast was very good and the dinners were amazing! The staff was friendly and there are several nice lounging areas
